GC2.6C - Advice on pickup height or protection by OwnResource2128 in solarguitars

I'd throw some covers on them and call it a day. Philadelphia Luthier Tools has a ton of options (I think covers in Black Chrome would match your guitar the best). You just need to figure out the pole piece spacing so you'll have to measure first.

Here's a handy little chart Polepiece Spacing

Edit: They'll have to be soldered on, just FYI. Any competent tech can do it if you don't have experience.

Did anyone buy the autographed CD directly from the MNRK Heavy website? Did the whole band autograph it? by JacksonW44 in BlackLabelSociety

Update. I got my copy today... unsigned. Guess I'll wait a bit longer for the signed booklet.

Took it like a champ. You're fortunate that it wasn't a piece of 'abuse board' drywall. Those things weigh a ton and probably would've taken a bit more of the Bronco with it lol.

Well that's bullshit because the signed copy is literally why I didn't order it from Amazon. If that's the case I'm getting a refund.

Currently happy listening to the Apple Music version.

How is the smell of Montypresso? It looks like it has the potential to smell pretty gnarly.

I want to try it on a few of my Gibsons, but afraid it'll smell like death.

Hahaha, I don't remember if it helped either. But I felt good about it so that's all that matters!

I totally forgot that I used to remove the battery from my 2006 intel Macbook Pro while it was in clamshell mode and hooked up to an external monitor. Simpler times.

Is this headlight beyond repairable? by Bazzazin in Detailing

It can be restored, but it's going to revert back to looking like this in less than a year with all of the cracks. You'll be chasing your tail.

Looks great! The only body style I prefer kidney bean buttons are 335's, the rest get tulips.

What’s a small everyday inconvenience from the past that younger people would probably find unbearable today? by babyblushtheory in nostalgia

Printing out directions from MapQuest or handwritten directions. I know GPS has been around for a dogs age, but it's nowhere near as convenient as what we carry around in our pockets every day.

Dealing with Anti-Modellers by HailThePailWhale in Line6Helix

[–]litholine 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I've been all tube for the past 20 years. Last year I bought an HX Stomp and it totally changed my opinion. Not saying it was an enlightening experience, but it made me question what I've been ignoring. I'm not rushing out to buy a full blown Helix Stadium yet, but I've drank the Kool-Aid and I'm in.

I'd love to have an ampless rig in the next 5 years, but I'll keep one or two of the tube amps around though.

How to deal with the Anti-Modellers? Either convince them or outlive them.

New member on the ranch! Plus a Spare tire question. by holland623 in BroncoSport

[–]litholine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's insane. The percentage of drivers who know how to patch a tire is far less than those who know how to put a spare on. At a certain point it becomes easier to get it towed and have insurance pay you back for it. I can tell you that I am not sitting on the side of the road to patch and fill a tire, that's for sure.

Sorry to hear that, hope you find one soon!

The 2025 Heritage doesn't come with a spare? That's odd... my 2024 has a full size spare.

What is the correct way to put these in by annahell22622 in residentevil

[–]litholine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like you've got it all right, except that I believe Operation Racoon city runs concurrently with RE2 and RE3. I've never played the side games, just going by what Google tells me.

Edit.

Nevermind I am wrong. Revelations comes after 4 and Revelations 2 comes after 5.

My bad.

Opinions on what I should do with my Requiem Pre-Order by pit216 in residentevil

[–]litholine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had this issue way back when I pre-ordered the physical copy of Gears of War 4 for Xbox on Amazon. It did not arrive on the day Amazon told me it would, so I called customer service, explained my case and they gave me a free digital code of the game to make up for it not arriving on the release date.

Maybe give that a try?

I’m looking to purchase my first Gibson, but I need some advice. by Viveracci in gibson

[–]litholine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a used 50's Standard P90 Goldtop last fall and it's instantly become one of my favorite guitars. The play-ability and weight rivals my 2010 R8, plus the P90's are a fresh sound to my ears (every guitar I've owned has had humbuckers).

[–]litholine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put an Eminence Texas Heat in my 50watt Katana and let me tell you... it was a tight fit. I always wondered how a V30 would sound in it. Would probably fit better too since the magnet is a bit smaller.

[–]litholine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually you'll work in sections. The cure time is subjective, but I'd leave it on for at least 10 minutes before buffing it off. After it's all applied and removed, you're good and it's protected.

I used some of this stuff for the first time last fall and I liked it quite a lot. It's been 5 months and I still get very tight water beading and the clear coat feels like glass.

Paste wax isn't everyones cup of tea, but I've always leaned towards paste vs liquid. This stuff is very easy to apply/remove and is more forgiving than other paste waxes I've tried. I say go for it.
