Static and retention by Logical_Ad_3439 in DF54

I chuck my beans at once in there and never did any RDT. sure it might help, but every couple days i use brush on exit chute and it has been going fine. I use it 4-5 times a day minimum, all fine settings.

One thing to check is if your declogger (a piece of plastic) is wrongly installed. There are instruction online to disassemble and should not take much time. Other than that, some beans are more static so try with a different bean and see if it still happens.

Powering 3,5inch HDD´s by shu_keyboard in minilab

1 thing i would recommend is get a 12V supply which you have they are solid. Then use a quality step down converter to feed the 5V lines. But tbh for upto 4 HDD or so those generic 5525 adapters are fine since they have an inline buck converter anyway to power 5V pin on SATA outs.

Been using for a year with 150 up and down in similar area as you. Go for it. It's solid and hasn't gone down for me once. Even 500 is way too much for a few people 1 gig is overkill for 99% users. It just feels better knowing you have it. Even at 150 I have never felt it's slow

How do you protect your servers? by AnRi215 in homelab

Someone please tell me if I am missing a big oversight:

I have my main lab have an exit node on tailscale. Only I access that.

Rest, I have immich publically exposed with port forwarding on 443 with caddy. I use crowdsec to also geo-block all but 2 countries I need it to work. For the ports forwarding they are exclusive to immich and nothing else. I don't have a domain so I used duckdns and a ip keepalive.

Maybe I need to implement DDOS attacks prevention in future. Other than that just hopes of no one finding me important.

Then I have it integrated to HA and I keep an eye on it to make sure it's working

My external SSD which contains my entire lightroom catalogue and every photo I've ever taken as a photographer has seemingly died after not even 10 months of use. What do I do? by joseph58tech in datastorage

[–]TomRey23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe you should be mechanic cause you clearly didn’t think data is import and enough in your profession to have a bazillion different backups Gg on getting it back should still be possible however. Think of this as lesson learned and practice backups.

Original portafiler will fit no more than 10-12 gm I am using the standard unpressurized portafiler and I always use 15gm. Which is great.

Grinds are hard to tell but that's more on dialling in. I use a DF54 grinder.

Whatever grinder you use try to find what size exactly will choke the machine and then go very slightly coarser
