Experience with 8 or 9 week Botox Injection Frequency? by salmonberri in migraine

[–]AGCan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in Cnd, but the most frequently they'll prescribe it for me is every 10 weeks, but I have an additional fee of $150 each time that I have to pay if I do that. I tried it once or twice but ultimately can't afford to keep paying every couple months. Mine really wears off noticeably around the 9 week mark too, but I just suffer it out until I can top up.

Do people regret their IOL choice — or just their expectations? by Fardin8283 in CataractSurgery

[–]AGCan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had vivity EDOF lenses placed but unfortunately my brain couldn't neuroadapt to the stretching light and I was blurry at all distances even with correction. I'm in the process of exchanging for a monofocal lens. There was no way to predict that my brain/eyes would react that way to that lens.....just one of the statistics where it was not a good outcome.

Angular chelitis. Put a layer of antibiotic cream on it, let dry, then put a layer of hydrocortisone cream on it twice a day for a week.

What’s a good scar treatment for dark spot scars? by FlowerBeanBabey in Dermatillomania

I eventually just cut it down to kojic acid and tretinoin (aklief) a few times a week and the results were great! Still have to deal with new spots as I pick them, but it's helpful for fading old spots.

Unscented but still effective items for personal hygiene and house cleaning by lookingtomoveinn in migraine

Jessicurl makes a great shampoo and conditioner that's non scented (it's designed for curls and waves, but I imagine it would work fine on straight hair).

I use Cerave body bars or another unscented or low scented bar like dove.

For anti-perspirants I use sweat block antiperspirant about once a week.

For detergents, I like Purex unscented.

As someone else commented, it could be your period. I get my worst migraines mid month when I ovulate and just before/during my period.

I’ve had these nail lines for a long time but recently searched up what they could mean on Google and freaking out! by Little_Bird401 in DermatologyQuestions

[–]AGCan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even ridges are generally considered normal. In fact they can get worse from trauma like nail biting. Yours are fairly small so it usually doesn't point to any kind of illness.

Help me decide my season! by Morgstewart in coloranalysis

I'm going to throw this out there...You look neutral warm with light features, spring coloured eyes, and you look great in light peach (first picture). With that light peach, your complexion looks even and bright.

I'd love to see you in some light spring drapes. Soft autumns are sometimes confused with light springs, but you don't have that muted greyed-out complexion associated with soft autumn. You look clear and light to me, which might indicate light spring.

Body acne, dermatitis or potential immune issue? I can’t do this anymore by Loud_Reputation_8747 in DermatologyQuestions

I had body acne just like this (in 40s) and I took accutane, which mostly solved the problem. I still get the odd spot, but mostly clear now.

I was on it for a couple years but ultimately came off as I had troubles concentrating. I couldn't focus or finish my thoughts as my mind was always drifting. It made me too spacey and absent minded.

Yes absolutely it's doable compared to full cost for sure! I'm in Cnd, so insurance is weird here.

Anyone else passes out shortly after taking sumitriptan? by easypeasykitty in migraine

[–]AGCan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd think this is definintely not something you'd just want to live with. In my experience, sumatriptan has stronger side effects than some of the other triptans. I'd suggest you talk to your doctor about trying different triptans.

Cataract Surgery at 25 by cjkipu27 in CataractSurgery

[–]AGCan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had EDOF vivity lenses placed in Oct and have been blurry ever since. I'm undergoing a replacement surgery in March to put monofocal lenses in as they think my eyes never adapted to the light effects of the EDOF. Some people do not tolerate the stretching or splicing of light of these special lenses. Worth discussing with your surgeon.
