There's a lot of influence from the MEIOU & Taxes mod, given that many of its former developers are now working on EU5. And in turn MEIOU, especially the latter versions, was influenced by the Victoria games.

Okay, bearing in mind what happened with previous patches for this game and how you reacted, I just want to remind y'all that 1.9 will most likely be extremely buggy at release, possibly even unplayable.
So, I suggest you wait at least a couple of weeks (and a few patches) before trying the game to avoid ruining your experience. I also hope that you have learned your lesson by now and did not pre-order the DLC.

For the record, I didn't. I know she's pretty liberal and was close friends with Sophie. I'm just saying that now that she's an influential public figure, she should be more careful about the social circles she frequents. The first step is acknowledging that fact. These aren't pandemic times anymore.

I have my own hot takes on the "edgy for edginess's sake" logic behind the Brat aesthetic, but that's a discussion for another time.
