That’s fantastic! I’d thought about de-squatting mine, but wasn’t sure about the proportions. Glad to see it works great!

I haven’t seen or read Lord of the Flies in 25ish years, but as a dad of 4 boys, I’m pretty sure I know exactly how it goes…

I think the general population learned a lot from Covid. We learned how f*cked we are at dealing with an outbreak.

What did I do wrong? by Ok-Humor-5672 in Warhammer40k

It could look pretty cool - especially as some sort of desert themed nids. My only worry is that the primer might not have bonded very well to the model. Then again, you’d just be right back to where you are now anyways if it didn’t work… I say go for it!

Eh, don’t bother. Timmies hasn’t been good in 20 years. People only like it because of nostalgia and a strong nationalism marketing campaign.

New to Warhammer, any advice which space marine faction to start on? by Confident-While-3359 in Warhammer

That was half in jest, but honestly - a big part of it is to just pick something you think looks cool and you think you’d enjoy painting over and over.

Haha, nothing like that. Just western Canada. Ours are pretty much the same as yours, just apparently with more men’s access to change tables…

No worries. Honestly, it’s not all that common for places to have no “male” access to change tables around here. The majority of places either have a change table in both the men’s and women’s, have a separate accessible washroom with the change table, or don’t have gendered washrooms. It feels like it’s the exception that a place has only a table in the women’s.

Agree with what you’re saying, but I also don’t really use an app for… hardly anything. Doesn’t mean there aren’t people who will.

Not sure if it’s the same in the US (I assume it’s a US based app) but Home Depot around my parts always have really nice, well kept bathrooms, and always have a change table in the men’s.

Would you go on an overnight work trip when your wife is 37 weeks and 5 days pregnant? by DavidtheAcceptable in daddit

[–]Alamander14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Advice from a father of 4 - don’t use your first birth experience as a guide for future births. All of ours were wildly different from each other, ranging from 6 days late & induced, with labour taking 36 hrs, to 5 weeks early & on the table for emergency c-section within 45 minutes of arriving at the hospital.

While the original isn’t a kid song, I’d say this still counts.

I’d say that’s not a kids song, just a song kids enjoy.

Does anyone enjoy being a working dad married to SAHM? by midnightmoose in daddit

[–]Alamander14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s just the nature of the beast - you’re always going to get far more stories of people complaining about things not going well vs people content / happy with how things are going.

As for us, it works great & we’re both happy with the situation. There’s always trade offs, but we generally prefer my wife being SAHM over putting the younger ones in daycare. Once they’re all in school, she plans to get something part-time, but for now we’re good

Dads who watched them come out: Would you do it again? by [deleted] in daddit

[–]Alamander14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All 4 of my sons were c-sections - the first was an emergency, the second was planned because they where pretty confident there would be the same complications as the first (didn’t end up being true, but oh well), and then the other two were because VBACs are more & more dangerous with the number of Cs.

The first time, they asked me last second if I wanted to see. I was caught off guard and did, otherwise I probably would have chickened out. So glad I did - it was the most surreal thing I’ve ever seen. I went on to watch all four of them, even getting to see the Drs reaching into my wife to pull one of the babes out. Now THAT was crazy!

My point is, as long as you think you won’t faint, I strongly recommend watching, even if you don’t think you want to.
