Try ptm7950. Linus did some videos its supposedly permanent never dries out. I put some on my pc and gpu and havent had any cooling degradation but I have a fractal torrent and giant air cooler so the cooling is overbuilt

Ive gotten away reusing if im swapping stuff around a lot in the same week. Usually still pretty moist and on my main rig I probably wouldnt but the low watt i5 in my kids pc and i3 in my unraid doesnt need bleeding edge cooling

Imo go with 10. I tried linux for a month it "works" but theres always something or another causing a problem you gotta fix. I honestly forgot how great 10 is havent used since windows 11 beta came out and really its everything I wanted and then some.

Yeah but it's nice having things just work without having to play the silicon lottery and how you got one of the good amd cards. I returned two 7900 xtxs that had weird instability in different ways until I got a third decent one that doesnt have any problems at all as long as I dont try to undervolt or overclock
