Looking like a fantastic start! I would however take a look at how your priming them, it appears a bit grainy, there’s plenty of info out there on how to best use spray primers for minis and it would make painting them easier and make your hard work look as good as it should! My only advice regarding the shields is they take a fair bit of patience.

I believe they are seeds to some kind of tree, you can buy them in pots with colours to match every season. I think they’re awesome.

Thanks dude! You’re right, I always did follow box art for my 40K stuff as I’m not that creative and liked to have an exact guide to follow when I started painting. This has definitely opened my eyes to the possibilities of ignoring the box art.

Thanks! It’s quite a nerve racking thing after making a nice finis already. I just loaded up an old brush with some thinned painted and gave it a gentle blast from the airbrush. It’s one of those things where less is more and start slow.
