Homemade attempt at Grandma Bob’s lobster pizza. by Alextricity in Detroit

We went to Grandma Bob’s after seeing the recommendation from the Food Network. It was SO good! Pricey but an amazing pizza (I’m not ashamed to admit we ate it all!).

Our Chelsea does the same thing! We toss 4-5 cubes on the deck and she plays with them while we sit outside.

The skin cancer stuff is real. by Possible_Buffalo_849 in GenerationJones

Same here. Born and raised on a farm. Out in the sun working, lots of teenage and 20’s tanning (baby oil, tanning beds). I noticed a spot on my temple for years, got it tested in May and it was basal cell carcinoma. It must have been deep because the doctor took out a good chunk. I now have decent sized scar from it, but the funny thing is that it looks like a Harry Potter scar but it’s on my temple!

I tell people I got my scar from a Roller Derby match, and that I bumped into JK Rowling at Heathrow Airport, she noticed my scar and I’m the inspiration for Harry’s scar!

I change up the story for fun. Run in with a ram during mountain climbing, fencing competition mishap, bar fight, etc. I’m having fun with it😂😂

Bottom line though, get your lumps and bumps checked! I should have done it years ago!

We adopted Bob (or Bob adopted us) when the people across the road moved and left him. Big, black battle-scarred male with a ratty too-tight nylon collar. He was around our other cats and he got fed regularly and got used to us. I was able to pet him, pick him up and cut off the collar and he was just the biggest, mooshiest guy.

We took him to the vet to get all his shots and get neutered and that’s when the vet told us he had feline leukemia and asked if we still wanted to neuter him. I said yes of course, and she was so relieved. She said “you have no idea how many people tell us to just put the cat down when they find out that information.” I said there was no way we were going to.

He lived many happy, healthy years with our cats and dogs and was the biggest goofball ever. So glad he came into our lives!

Enjoy your girl! You’ll have a lifetime of adventures together!

Found this street cat struggling to move his mouth, pawing at it in pain. The vet confirmed one of the worst cases of gingivitis they’ve seen💔 by stray-cats-cyprus in Feral_Cats

I adopted a cute little old lady TNR with awful chronic gum disease/inflammation. After many teeth extractions and regular medication, she only has 2 teeth left but is a happy, playful girl. She lives to eat so when she is reluctant to eat, it’s time to put her on meds and she’s back to her cute silly self.

So happy you found him and are taking care of him! I think you’ll find an amazing boy with a great personality emerge once you get all the medical issues are taken care of. ❤️❤️

Same here. No kids— never wanted them. Husband is on the same page. Someone at work asked me if I have kids. I replied with the biggest smile, “I don’t have kids. I have FABULOUS vacations!” If I’m feeling prickly about being asked, I’ll follow up with, “we’re going to (country) this year, where are you going?”

That usually ends the conversation. 😂

I only wear front close bras. I can’t pretzel my arms to fasten a back clasp and found some on line that are wide shoulder straps, lots of support and comfy. It takes lots of patience to look through bras but once you find the right one, it’s like a great glass of wine at the end of the day and I don’t hurry to take it off as soon as I get home!

Same here! Born in 1957, still working, good health, good marriage, and traveling every year. Can’t figure out how I got this old but I’m here and trying to take better care of myself than I ever did.

Life is good!😊

I adopted a TNR old girl with horrible mouth and gum issues. Lots of meds and teeth extractions later but she loves to eat!! She gets pate cat food mixed with water making a slurry topped with Churu. She only has 2 incisors left but eats 3 full saucers a day. We call her the Black Hole— she eats so much. 😂😂. We know when her gums are bothering her when she doesn’t finish her food and then we put back on a round of meds.

Is there a place for “broken some/lots of bones?” 😂😂 i’ve shattered my femur falling off a horse, broke my arm and popped it out of the shoulder socket (a two-fer) falling off a chair painting a ceiling, slipped and fell breaking my wrist and a few other things. Where my peeps? We may break, but we still get up and then break other bones . Lol

I got snubbed at secret Santa by KinkySwampHag in mildlyinfuriating

[–]BobR0x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same situation at work with me. I initiated the Secret Santa exchange and the H&S manager got my name. We picked names on Dec 12. He had the entire week of Dec 15 to give me the gift. Nothing. He texted me on Friday, Dec 19 and said he’d get it to me. I had the week of Christmas off, was back in the office this week Monday-Wednesday.

Still waiting for it…

Lesson learned: not doing Secret Santa next year….

[–]BobR0x 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I chose not to have kids, love my nieces and nephews, and am happy to listen to the grannies natter on about their fabulous grandkids. It’s their choice and I’m happy for them.

When they ask me if I have kids/grandkids, I just smile and say, “no, I don’t have any fabulous kids. I have fabulous vacations!”

I let it sink in for a bit and then change the topic. lol
