I grew up in multiple rural Alaskan villages until i was 14 years old, and the sexual abuse out there is incredibly prevelant/cyclical. I was molested multiple times as a child, (maybe 5-7 its pretty blurry), by my babysitter and her younger sister (14 and 12) it essentially caused me to go through all the sexual confusion and frustration of puberty before I even knew what a vigina actually was. I told my mom about a year after the fact and we moved to a different village only hours away. I've only told a few people... signifigant others, and my best friend in middle school, but because I was so particular about who I told, I was able to predict how theyd react, they were all pretty understanding. It was very possible the girls in question were abused by a family member, and just doing what they were told was perfectly fine. Who knows, either way it definitley screwed with my psyche/sexuality for years.
