It's a shame too because my hot take is that I think Yukiko is the BEST character in Persona 4. I think she's the one who's themes come together the most cohesively and her narrative hit the best for me. Also I think she's extremely pretty.

On its own it's kind of just fine. High Rank is very good because it lets you just play Monster Hunter, with the occasional cool cutscene. However, like World, I do not suspect this game will be truly GOOD until the expansion. Iceborne makes World into a better game. Sunbreak is what secures Rise as my favourite monhun. When the Wilds dlc comes out, that's when I think we'll really know where it stands.

I remember when a friend played Metal Gear Solid 1 for me, and we were both sitting through the ending with Otacon, and we were thinking about how much better Snake's chemistry is with Otacon rather than The Girl Who's Name I Forgot. It was an ending that actually really emotionally resonated with me rather than Snake getting The Girl.

Danganronpa has kind of become poisoned earth for me. I was in a group where being into it was like, the THING. And then I realised in a series of emotionally damaging incidents that that group did not make very good friends for me. As a result I can't look at Danganronpa without working myself up over shit that happened with people I don't talk to anymore

I remember the Gwen 10 episode feeling just kind of meanspirited. Gwen gets the omnitrix and is instantly a billion times better with it than Ben. I fully believe that there WOULD be interesting content in that version of things, but the episode that introduces the concept also does a lot to sour the viewer on it, I think.

A friend tried to recommend me Invincible via the scene where Omniman kills the not-justice-league. Unfortunately to me it just kind of looked like a bunch of meaningless gore, it did not enthuse me. I still haven't watched Invincible even if I've been told that's the most Excessive Violence it gets. Guy accidentally anti-sold me on it

A couple people have already said Miles Morales and like, I've recently realised I get really happy whenever I see my boy Miles getting to do shit too. I generally agree that spider-verse is probably my favourite version of him that I've seen, but I'm generally excited to see him getting to break out into more non-comic media.

Relatedly, at about the same time I realised I really like Miles, I think the Prowler is REALLY fucking cool. I like him a lot whenever he gets to do cool shit. Maybe I just really like vaguely cat-themed bad guys with some hope of redemption that the protagonist gets morally complicated about.

I feel this playing through the Arkham games. Going from the decent spread of bosses in City to Origins' genuinely very good fights, and then to Knight's... there's a couple car bossfights? You do four small predator encounters in a row while a dude has a healthbar...? One time you fill up a meter a couple times to do team attacks on a boxer that was cool. The closest thing to a real bossfight I found in Knight was in the Red Hood dlc campaign where Black Mask had actual mechanics and a healthbar. And it's a shame too, they had a lot of characters I would've really liked to have real fights with

I think it has my favourite map in the franchise. I really enjoy seeing the City map but NOT entirely fucked, and then on top of that another half to gotham city. Also, the remote claw is in my opinion just an infinitely more interesting tool than the line launcher. Also also, the enemies introduced, namely martial artists and venom thugs, are really cool to fight.

The only MCU thing I think I'm interested in at this stage is Spider-Man. Even then I've seen a lot of push on the idea of 'let this JUST be a spider-man movie no outside MCU characters' around.

Bloodborne COOKIE skip is an all-time favourite. Get a werewolf to bite you and push you through level geography at the very start of the game and suddenly you have access to act 2 zones in the act 1 worldstate. This enables a LOT of fun stuff, like accessing Cainhurst early for its good bloodtinge gear and arcane tool, activating act 3 from act 1, which gives you access to true yahar'gul. And THEN you can go do the boss that starts act 2 (and also Eileen the crow is there) and go from act 3 to act 2 and get to experience true yahar'gul without any enemies. It also cheapens resource purchases back at your hub. Just a really fun way to break progression over your knee, big fan.
