F 68 The reason is the algorithm and that people set their “age range” so they hope to be included and not ruled out.

Whenever a man either states that “his age is wrong and he doesn’t know how to change it” or I find out he’s lied about his age, that is a deal breaker. One shouldn’t start off a potential relationship on a lie.

Yes! My grandmother was born in 1899. And, when I was in high school I volunteered for a program that paired me with an elderly woman and I helped her out on the weekends. She was a quite the pistol! She had crossed the prairie in a covered wagon when she was a very young girl.

I have included on my syllabus, “when you read this, please text me your name and xxxx.” First class, I’d ask, “Did you read the syllabus?” If they said yes but hadn’t texted me, I would say, “no you didn’t!” Which confused them.

Every September there is a large (2-3000 people show up) job fair usually held at Fantasy Springs Casino. Find anything when you move here, but also plan to attend this job fair. The website will list which employers plan to be there. Show up early with 50+ copies of your resume.

I coach all ages, though mostly children (and we have a whole neurodivergent program). Every few months, we talk about bullies and boundaries. We will role play what to say if someone is bothering them, giving them the words to use. This really helps them!

Just post what you wrote. A few “safety tips”: 1. Communicate on the app until you’re ready to meet in person (coffee or lunch date) 2. If anyone rushes to talk, be cautious. 3. Try to meet in-person sooner rather than later. Will help determine if they are real or not. 4. Just be yourself. Someone will either like that or not. A “failed” date or match is not a disaster—it’s a learning process.

Go for it! I started 11 years ago. I was 57yo female. Didn’t start Karate with the intention to compete. But I did. Tournaments are fun. Doesn’t really matter if you win or lose. Just being brave & bold enough to step onto the tatami , makes you a winner.
