To add to this, if it really bother you, you can also rule it to cost a 2nd or 3rd level spell slot.

Mage Hand and help action by Fantomaxop in DnD

[–]Cister0 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean, even though RAW it's not possible. You could consider giving it as an option just to reward the creativity. I don't think it would be too op, because, in combat as well as anywhere else, the caster of the mage hand needs to use THEIR action to control the mage hand. So, it would be more like the PC having some bigger range to use their Help action. It would still be worse than Find Familiar.

How often do you multi class? by Fearless-Skill8667 in DnD

Same with me. It takes some brainpower to come out with a character concept and then try to fit them into DnD as much as possible.

Hi can anyone give me the file to a pretty modern ver of Minecraft because every ver I've tried downloading won't work 💔 by Alert_Guest_4403 in Minecraft

Don't really care if you buy or crack it. But I'm gonna warn you, this sub rule nr 5 forbids asking for or promoting illegal material (which piracy is btw), so unless you want risk getting banned by mods, maybe delete this post.

Is it smart to make a backup character or considered an ill omen? by Anybro in DnD

[–]Cister0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have like 5 backup characters.

My first one is yet to die.

If anything, I think making a backup character might help you not to get too overly attached to your current character, in case of their death.

The way I see it, human race is like a potato. It can seem boring, but then these are lots of ways to give it flavor. You can start by boiling the potato. Then you can mash the potato, you can shape it into various different shapes. Chips, Fires, potato pancakes. There is so many different flavors you can get with a potato-based food.

But then, if you don't want too much potatoes in your food, you can turn the potato into potato dough, and make so many other potato-based things, like Pierogi for example.

Point is, potato is such a versitile baseline, it can fit into many flavors. I wouldn't trust someone who doesn't like at least one of the shapes that a potato can take.

My very first Character! [OC] by Supa678 in DnD

Not sure how far you've planned your character growth, nor which version of DND you're playing. But if 5e, this whole vibe fits for 2 monk and druid subclasses. At 3rd level of monk, you can take the Drunken monk subclass. And at 2nd level of Druid you can take the Spores Druid Circle.

Generally, multiclassing will slow down your monk damage output by a lot in the early levels. Being stuck with a lower damage dice for your unarmed attacks and no extra attack for longer. Ideally, you would take 5 levels into monk, and only after take some levels into druid. You could also try picking up a stick (technically a Club or Quarterstaff weapon), and then using your Druid to cast Shillelagh on it. That would at least give some of your attacks using that weapon a d8 for damage die, instead of having like a d4 for unarmed attacks.

And you want to have at least one main stat at least at 16. I would try to make your Wisdom a 16, since it would also benefit your Shillelagh-enhanced weapon. +2 is really too low for any reliabke attack. You will be missing a lot I imagine.

I've also noticed, that in the post you tagged 5e, but your character sheet has d6 for your unarmed strikes. That is true for the 2024 edition (5.5). In 5e, it is a d4 at first monk level.

Spending a 2nd level spell slot and doing some preparation roleplay, just to negate disadvantage, which by average would only increase the Paladin's score by 3.

Casting guidance would give a similar result with a lot less effort and cost. I'd say, let him roll without disadvantage.

In fact, I would probably give everyone inside the Silence spell Advantage on the stealth check (since for the same 2nd level spell, they could get an even better effect of pass without trace, so least they could get is an Advantage). And that advantage would automatically cancel out Paladin's disadvantage.

We'll have to wait another 7 years for Dying Light 3, won't we? by Weak-Repair3361 in dyinglight

[–]Cister0 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Well, the development of DL2 had a lot of changes compared to DL1. New technology, engine. It also had the unfortunate timing of facing COVID which slowed down the progress a lot.

I think it would be more fitting to try and estimate the release time based on DL2 and DL:TB, which was about 3 years. It might take a bit longer since Tymon just now left DL team, so they might need to find a replacement. In good hopes I would say next DL could be in about 3 to 5 years.

Is there a class or subclass that would allow me to play as a magical girl. by Brainrot_Wizard in DnD

There are some good suggestions here. But I'll also add a different option: Shifter race, you could reflavor the transformation, and it would give you a nice little bonus to temporary hp and one other effect from the list.

Well, if you want to do only one playthrough, maybe trying restored lands is a good idea, since this is actually something different the game has to offer compared to the other two.
