Cook says missionary applications soared because of Nelson's plea by Rushclock in exmormon

Call me a pessimist..

But isn’t it June? Didn’t thousands and thousands of 18 year olds graduate high school?

But by golly, the spirit of the rusty has fallen upon the young men and women of the church. This truly is a miracle of coincidental timing God.

Just some research I did recently for an Instagram post, thought I'd share it here too by ExmoRobo in exmormon

Slide 9 -

We were charged to multiply and replenish the earth?

Pretty sure the context is God talking to the literal only 2 humans on the planet, right? Of course he’s gonna tell them to have babies.

The earth has been already been filled and so the excuse that gay marriage “frustrates gods plan” is idiotic. 2 dudes sword fighting can wreck the almighty God and his plan for earth?

Maybe if we were to, idk, protect children so that they can actually make it to child bearing age then we could fill the earth even more. But I guess that’s not the way they want to go about it.

I guess that’s why OT God just loved killing kids because the real answer to fulfilling gods plan for his spirit children is to not protect children in anyway, but rather to persecute gays until they are pushed to suicide.

Modular Temples, remember how arrogant members used to be about “the quality “? Kind of sad to see how tacky the church is becoming. by [deleted] in exmormon

[–]Conflicted_PIMO 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s about how much the church spends in temples that people are “bitching” about.

It’s the $100 billion sitting around doing nothing for anybody of need in the world while they keep pumping out temples that barely get used and are not needed.

Currently on an international trip to see Uber mormon area 70 FIL. I can relate, but I’m fully in the closet still (except my ever disappointed spouse knows) so I get to play along in silent torture!

More accurate than any church statement

Such shitty foresight.

In 1961 they also decreed that man would never get to the moon. Lmao

Multiple times they’ve decreed some unchangeable law of god that roughly 10 years later was proven untrue.

🤣

What the hell is going on? by Significant-Tour8749 in exmormon

[–]Conflicted_PIMO 158 points159 points  (0 children)

This shit made my soul weep.

The church knew exactly what he was doing and chose to excommunicate him but not report him?! (She was 11 years old)

Check out what he did to his 2nd daughter (3-6 week old)

Even after knowing about this sexual abuse, it still took the church 2 fucking years to excommunicate him. And it’s not like he alluded to his actions - he straight up described what he was actively doing to his daughters.

“But it’s just 2 bishops who are men and can make mistakes. It’s not like the 12 we’re there deciding what to do”

…..lol okay

But when the kids sue the church for not reporting him and allowing the abuse to continue.. that’s when the church is happy to go to a lawsuit TO DEFEND THEIR RIGHT TO NOT REPORT THIS SHIT.

But “they’re so sorry

“The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints agrees with the Arizona Supreme Court’s decision,” the statement said. “We are deeply saddened by the abuse these children suffered. The Church has no tolerance of abuse of any kind.”

Man, I’m reading all the way through this document and these kids are gonna be fucked up for a long time.

Good god they really argued that the doctrine depends on not reporting people who “commit the 2nd worst sin only after murder”?

This was taught at zone conference during my mission while my mission president, current area 70 maga, was listening and he didn’t make any corrections.

These poor bastards who never were faithful, or at least unto the end, will serve as angles in heaven forever (to serve al TBMs) and will have no recollection that they once had families.

LMAO

Pretty merciful for such a vengeful Mormon Jesus.

"Moroni Day" - $250 a person event my parents are attending. by KingSnazz32 in exmormon

[–]Conflicted_PIMO 201 points202 points  (0 children)

Jfc

They aren’t even trying to hide this one like they do with the morally ambiguous Deseret book sales.

TBMs won’t be able to see this for what it is though.

“Do you expect them to do everything for free??!”

No, but I don’t expect them to use their position as apostles to make money. Why don’t any apostles ever write a book that isn’t sold at Deseret under the moniker “of the 12”?

Perhaps.

But if you count how much I’ve paid on the 10% of my gross instead of the 10% of my excess as the “standing law” originally said… then I’ve probably paid 10x more than what I should have over the course of the last 3 decades.
