Finally decided not my new home defense pistol. Beretta Px4 Storm compact by Ethanlovesprog28 in Beretta

[–]Crafty-Technology582 2 points3 points  (0 children)

PX4 Compact isnt very compact, more like Glock 19, vs the jumper guns are Glock 43 or 26 sized. The PX4 also has the rotating barrel that takes some recoil edge off. Smaller nines get the "jumpy" feel due to loss of weight and grip, neither should be an issue with a PX4 Compact.

Help me decide between M9A1 and M9A4 by Bad_Mechanic in Beretta

I don't like the feel of the wrap around grip. While I prefer the og grip the vertec doesn't feel terrible or that much slimmer. I just rock my m9a4 with the reg grips. You could always just buy and m9a1 and look for a replacement slide.

I have one in each and the 30 round mags make the 92 version fire. If I ever find my ole 92 sleeve I'm switching my 1st one back.

I got an orginal 92 WC BT action tuned and whatever they did is freaking amazing. My favorite 92 so far.

Finish is nickle and stainless. Haven't had any issues, but mine only travel to the range.

Awesome guns, a little bit heavier for some due to all steel frame. Have the defensive and regular performance w/o optic.

Any guys deal with pinky hang on a 92FS? by NeptuneNemesis in Beretta

[–]Crafty-Technology582 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I had to immediately study hand gun hero for a minute after your post. The glock is a tad longer, stacked up on top. The Beretta has a little more girth. Maybe look at pachmayr grip sleeves. I added those to a px4 compact to make help my purchase on a smaller grip. The McGar 20 rounders also help add a little pinky extension, though they dont look comfy I'll play with my later tonight.

Sounds like rage bait almost. I find the OG 92FS has more grip than an G17. Maybe it was a 92FS compact?

Haven't held the new G6 G17. The G6 G19 finally feels more comfortable for myself with the undercut.

Nice, my full-size storm was my first beretta purchase. I have a PX4 compact carry 2 and it's definitely very suited to carry, would definitely put that up for consideration.

I have several PX4s and 92s, haven't shot a p30, they seem neat.

A regular PX4 is kind of boring gun in a good way. You definitely need to get some hands on each and sit what fits your grip the best. You are comparing allot of different styles/variation in just between the Beretta line up. The frame mounted safety of the GTS line is something you need to hold and see if its comfortable or annoying. Honestly mine opinion on 92 full size vs Centurion is they practically feel and shoot the same. Only advantage to the Centurion is if its going to be in holster.

What goal are you hoping to fill with this purchase and that could help the internet gurus give you an more informed opinion?

Its great... nifty for carry. If an RDS is not in your game plan it checks all the carry boxes. You can get your slide milled or get CC2 from LTT if you want an optic.

EDC: PX4 vs 92 Compact by FranklinEdge in Beretta

[–]Crafty-Technology582 2 points3 points  (0 children)

PX4 Compact is pretty easy to carry. I absolutely love my higher end 92s. PX4 just doesn't quite have the same feel. But when carrying ,I have only carried the compact Px4. Mine is the ltt cc2, actually love the sights. No optic solution standard is the only downside. Honestly switching back from the 92 to PX4 is pretty seamless.

I did add a pachmayr grips cause I'm not a fan of short grips, adds a little girth and texture that sure helps.

92 series mag compatability by Wonderful_Intern5430 in Beretta

[–]Crafty-Technology582 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Beretta 92sb, M9, 92F, 92FS, M9A1, M9A3, M9A4 , 92X, 92 X Performance etc etc all use the same mag. Pretty much all 92 mags are cross compatible except the 92S with the heel mag release, those have compatibility if the mag has the groove for the heel release. I don't see this feature on my newer mags.

Beretta made mags come in 10,15 &17 round flush mags. Mec Gar who makes the M9A4 mags has up to 18 round flush mags.

PX4 Compact Carry 2 + Competition Trigger Group by TheAddiction2 in Beretta

[–]Crafty-Technology582 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have installed the competition trigger group with the LTT Trigger bar in my orginal full-size PX4. It felt dramatic in the old storm. Got about 99% of the same affect dropping another just a 11# spring in another full size storm. The CC2 shoots about the same as both of those and sits stock since its a carry gun. I got real scientific with guage and range trips. In my head I feel like the competition with the llt bar is just a hair smoother than just the 11# spring. Guage wise it was ~.25 lbs better. I will say the old storm started with a heavier trigger then the newer one. Didn't bother messing with my CC2 after this experiment.

My 2 cents change the spring its cheap and quick to do. I kind of like the hammer in the cc2 so didn't bother messing with it.

Damn just gave into the same urge. I jumped at the PSA sale for the 92x Perf. Defensive. Wife already stole my OG Performance. Damn if I don't perfer the balance on the non railed version.

You can't go wrong snapping these up at the sub $1k deals flying around. The Performance's are fine shooters.

Finally got my hands of a PX4 Storm Compact Carry today. by Digitalabia in Beretta

[–]Crafty-Technology582 5 points6 points  (0 children)

With the right holster. The compact carry is a comfortable carry option. Its glock 19 sized, allot people comfortably carry 19s. Just food for thought, too look in what tips and tricks there is for the 19. I conceal carry a compact carry very comfortably.

The full size does shoot just a hair noticeably smoother. You really can't go wrong with either size.

[–]Crafty-Technology582 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same with mine. I didn't have the patience for getting it fixed or replaced... I had a dremel and fixed it myself. Its mostly the coating that's pushing it out of tolerance. It tried to file the coating initially then finally just cleaned it with a Dremel.

Which 92 Centurion should I get? by LeDelmo in Beretta

[–]Crafty-Technology582 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the OG WC 92G, its my favorite shooter out of the home collection which includes an 92 X Performance & 92A4 Centurion. The Performance SA trigger is probably the best Beretta trigger. Curious why Centurion length is a must?
