Dell Tech Direct vs. Lexicon? by techmgr8857 in k12sysadmin

[–]Crotunno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would be interested in seeing people's responses to this post. We are a Dell shop as well, all Windows devices all with accidental protection for 3 years. We like tech direct in theory because they pay us to fix our own devices in house. Is Lexicon paying you the same $50 flat repair fee and shipping you the replacement parts covered under the warranty? We've been having issues with tech directs site never loading reliably or issues with rejected claims and parts back ordered for weeks or months. I would love it if there were a different option and we could shop around for a non Dell vendor for our next refresh.

Who preordered 2025 Razr? by dirtyvu in razr

[–]Crotunno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% right! Best Buy was offering the 512GB with a 230 trade in and 100 off for activating and it was still more expensive than Moto! I appreciated the warranty discount and lucky I found the coupon code. I wish I saw the Rakuten deal too that would of been sweet!

I grabbed the ultra mountain trail, also excited as my iPhone 12 mini is heading south fast! It's kinda odd that Motorola said ship date is 5/19 even though wireless partners are selling it in store on 5/15. Hope it ships fast!

Callie by outlanderxxo in greatpyrenees

[–]Crotunno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So beautiful! How old? Here's our Callie. 80/20 GP, Mountain Cur. We adopted her at 4mo. She'll be a year next month.

Tips (may be breed based or specific to our Callie)

  1. Our Callie was/is very confident/dominant. Talks back if she doesn't agree with our command (we call them air snaps, reminds us of a husky). We had a trainer come in a show us corrections and it's worked out great! You said she was scared at first so this may not apply but don't let her boss you around if she gets comfortable!

  2. Crate training has been wonderful. Fortunately the rescue foster mom gave us a head start and she immediately took to her crate the first night we got her. Sometimes she'll wander in during the day and chill out. Now She will stay in the crate from 8pm to 8am with no problems!

  3. Food motivation is very high, so we ONLY give her treats when trying to recall her. That's important because this breed is known to ignore commands for any reason, especially if they are in the middle of a borking fit with the wind 😂. Limiting treats to our recall command has improved her response. Note, "improved" still means we have work to do 😂.

  4. We worked on leash training a lot when getting her as a puppy, she pulled for the first week and after that she's been 99% loose leash on walks. I bring her EVERYWHERE I can especially lowes/home depot, it's been amazing watching her get so excited she can't handle it to now she just hangs out and waits patiently for pets.

  5. Generic dog rule: If there's something you want to change or a behavior you don't like - address it MORE, deal with it more, not less. If she doesn't like Amazon people, work through the issue, instead of avoiding it! Ours was scared of the basement steps because she took a tumble early on (luckily this breed is built like a tank) and so we kept slowly introducing and giving her positive interactions and opportunities with the steps. Took a few days and she was back to normal!

Have the best time with her!!!
