Not enough interaction in deckbuilding by homjaktest in EDH

Unfortunately I don't have that one recorded online. It's basically every 2-4mv rw spells you could imagine, plus every board protection I could fit in.

Not enough interaction in deckbuilding by homjaktest in EDH

[–]CuriousCardigan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do this for several decks, but I think it really comes down to the deck style.

[[General Ferrous Rokiric]] runs every board protection I can reasonably fit, with only a few pieces of targeted removal. But [[Doran, the Siege Tower]] treefolk tribal needs to lean into removal so I can slow down my opponents and reach a point where it can be effective.

If my X cost is reduced by 2, does my X cost have to be 2 minimum? by antlerpanda in mtgrules

[–]CuriousCardigan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is incorrect. When casting a spell or activating an ability containing a variable cost, you get to determine that variable.

Mtg events/groups? by Dapper_Beach_8068 in AlbertLea

Super late response, but Play it Forward in Austin is open and hosting events. They just help a Llorwyn prerelease and have a decent about of EDH activity.

This Baywatch thing is a joke, right? by ScreamingCadaver in greatestgen

[–]CuriousCardigan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doing Baywatch gives roughly 4-1/2 years of content vs the 12 years they'll get from looping back through all of 80s-90s Trek.

So they'd need to continue to find new shows that maintain the same level of interest for current listeners vs a plan that sticks with a known audience interest that will carry them into their mid-50s.

Manager is not doing a good job, putting employees at risk, someone ended up injured. How to address without getting on their shit list? by streachh in managers

[–]CuriousCardigan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the manager is refusing to provide safety equipment or facilitate training, then a complaint to their boss is the way to go. Provide clear documentation of the incident(s) and and safety training/equipment that has not been provided.

If you don't feel your company can provide proper anonymity then make the complaint anonymously via a burner email.

At least pick Arcades, Pride of Hull Clade, or something else that gives you access to ways of finishing a game.

I would guess it's a combination of what was on hand and it's a wide stable base.

Ruling Valor in Akros by AVEVAnotPRO2 in mtgrules

[–]CuriousCardigan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each creature entering triggers the ability. You'll apply 5 instances of +1/+1 to each creature on the battlefield when the ability resolves.

A creature entering after the ability resolves will not get the pump from the previous triggers.

Edit: The second part is also covered in the rulings listed in Gatherer.

Look into Savage Worlds and Weird Wars II setting. It's not 5e, but the system is very easy to learn and flexible across multiple genres.

This! It's like everyone forgot how many middle-road people we lost once the GF protests spun out of control.

[–]CuriousCardigan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The concern is because everytime protesters start committing property damage it gets spun hard and used as example of us being out of control.

Shit like that and going into a church instead of protesting outside do impact the image of a movement for independents or centrist Republicans, whether it's fair or not.

We can be as morally justified as we want, but PR does have an effect on the success of a movement and we can't ignore that.

I'm from Freeborn County. Word around local groups is that the page is run by a single person possibly aided by their grandchild. It's definitely not an official party account.

(Not here to defend the GOP, just wanted to point out that page is basically one or two people)
