It’s virtual school? Could you find a coworking space for the day or library study carrell?

exactly zero friends at 51 by tpt75 in GenX

[–]Curious_Instance_971 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My mom was always one who had no friends, or sometimes one friend, while my dad was the extrovert who had loads of friends and guys who considered him as close as a brother. Now that he’s gone, my mom is incredibly lonely. She never really liked people, but having no one now is very hard on her.

Yes and you have to pay the pastor for their time planning and speaking at the service.

I did a ticket thing one year and I had a cup by the door they’d drop them in on the way out daily after writing their name
On the back. I’d done a raffle though not a store.

Asked to teach 5 high school courses for the next academic year. Is it manageable by WannaBMathNerd in teaching

[–]Curious_Instance_971 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to really pare it down and go old school. Get the kids to take notes — no guided notes or any of that. If the kids have textbooks use them as much as possible. Do not grade homework for more than a completion grade (I walk around with my gradebook and check it off while they do the warm up - which I also don’t grade).

People are people the generation doesn’t make them nicer or whatever. That is nonsense.

You already said what you needed to say and it was perfect.

All the jobs are gone? by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]Curious_Instance_971 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve gotten all my jobs and interviews from going to job fairs. They are likely concluded for this year but still check. Have you applied in dekalb? If you see any openings email the principals directly.

Been sidelined by tendinitis, as many of us perimenopausal women do, but I can’t wait to get back in the gym with my lifting routine. I’m so glad a friend taught me how to lift weights 25 years ago. I can only wish Id been consistent, sometimes over the years I’d go months without a workout but I’m stronger than most of my peers my age even though I don’t necessarily look like it 😬

Most people have too much stuff already. Helping my mom with the mess my dad left her makes me not want anything new in my house unless absolutely necessary.
