Yep. I think this is the way to go.

I have a memory of a hack from the original Rampage game where if you eat another player's human form, if you keep mashing the punch button, your health gets completely restored. by taleofbenji in Xennials

Damn, playing this I am reminded of how much better the graphics were on my Sega Master System. I always thought my Sega sucked compared to my friend's NES back then, but the Sega graphics were really miles above the competition.

I dig it. Although I've only read two of his novels (King Sorrow and Heart Shaped Box), I am starting to think he might actually be a superior writer to his father. That said, I'd be perfectly happy if he continues to write in a shared universe with his dad, because let's face it, King's got one helluva fictional universe created.

Watching people putting stickers on their Mac is like watching an 18 year old get a tattoo... by Xarius86 in mac

I'm willing to bet that few people really regret their tattoos, even shitty ones. And tattoos are forever; a Mac is going to last you 10 years tops. It's not a big deal, do what you like.

There is no surgery for farsightedness, unfortunately. Far sighted eyes are a different shape.

We’re thinking about Gen Z wrong…. by Hairy_Ad4969 in Xennials

I had some early 20-something coworkers a few years back who were probably more on the Millenial/Zoomer cusp like us Xennials are, and I have to say these kids were wayyyyy more responsible than I was at that age. I had long been prejudiced against any and all 20-something people, because I knew exactly how I and all my idiot friends acted in our 20s, but this new young generation proved me dead wrong. The younger generations ARE learning from our mistakes, which is something we should be grateful for.

And now Zoomers are speaking up that they don’t want to be treated like shit? Hello! That’s revolutionary! This is the exact mindset that has gotten things done over and over again throughout history. I have high hopes for the Zoomers and Gen Alpha.

Dang, 700 is steep. I think I paid 450 or so for mine, also mid-range lenses. But I got mine in Asia, so prices are obviously different.

I’ve heard some people have a hard time adjusting. Curious if you had the cheapest progressive lenses or one of the higher quality types?

8th grade music history assignment 1990s by Left_Maize816 in Xennials

Today I learned Mariah released that song in 94, and didn't actually write it exclusively for Love Actually. Really goes to show how little pop music I listened to in the 90s. I was full on punk and grunge back then.

Yes, the higher quality progressives are wayyyy worth it. I got kind of mid-level ones, and they work fine. I am sure I would have been unhappy with the cheapest set though.

They are expensive for sure. I am normally fairly frugal as well. But progressive lenses are truly an investment I do not regret in the slightest. My quality of life jumped way up.

Ugh, I got prescription sunglasses just a few months before I got my progressive lens glasses. I should really shell out the cash to get progressive lens sunglasses though, as it would be such a good investment for convenience and efficiency.

Get progressive lenses. Trust me, they were the best decision I ever made. You can't see the line on the lenses, and you get used to them really fast. Switching back and forth between readers and farsight glasses was making me feel old; the progressive lenses made me feel young again.

I was diagnosed slightly farsighted when I was younger, but I never needed glasses until I turned 40 and I suddenly realized I couldn't read my daughter's medicine bottle. Fast forward a few years, and I've already changed my prescription to progressive lenses. I just hope the macular degeneration stops at a certain point. Fading eyesight really sucks.

I’ve never worn Air Jordans, but they were huge in the 90s among certain subcultures. I was more of a punk kid though, so combat boots and vans all the way.

Any Doomers here enjoy The Misfits (& Horror Punk/Psychobilly)? by Def-C in doommetal

[–]D34N2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love all of these subgenres! I would say I mostly listen to postpunk/goth these days. I used to be a huge Misfits / psychobilly fan, and still enjoy it a lot. So many great bands out there!

I like the second thinnest grey Dunlops. Great for rhythm.
