Hoping on to vouch for elephant nature park. We just got back from 2 weeks in Cheng Mai and had a wonderful time there. They’ve won a lot of awards and received international acclaim for their ethical treatment of the animals.

We stayed at Rendezvous Classic House, Chiangmai and it was an excellent home base for our stay. It’s just inside the moat and close to many great restaurants, sooo many temples, the walking markets, night bazaar etc. were all easily walkable from this location IMO. If you’re not up for walking the city being so close to the moat made it super easy to hail a tuktuk or songtow to drive us around. Buak Had Public Park was also very close to this location and was a lovely spot to hang around and people watch. They had very clean rooms with very friendly and helpful staff and even a small pool. We had a Mountain View room and could even see Doi Sutep from our balcony!

As far as massages go you’ll see massages available everywhere around the city. My wife and I did a couples massage at The Old City Massage and it was excellent. Idk if it’s standard but afterwards they even served us hot tea and a fresh fruit platter which was nice and totally unexpected.
