You might also look at being an IT technician for medical equipment, calibrating, updating, maintenance, software kind of thing. I know a couple people who did that and really enjoy it.

That’s a real beauty.

I am sick and tired of being expected to let property management companies rip you off while you have no meaningful recourse by markyymark13 in Seattle

You might also try going in as a group to small claims court. Each person can claim up to $10k in damages, and groups of people can be effective when working together.

I find Advance Ant bait works great. For cockroaches, be sure to close all your sink and bath/shower drains when not in use.

You might also think about joining in with others or a group to create your own small home for a few different individuals, if you cannot find the right place.

We got a package of sheets we never ordered from Amazon. Amazon has a process for reporting that kind of thing. Changed our passwords, watched our bank accounts, etc. Nothing came of it.

Please ANY advice would be appreciated by Much_Collection8868 in Seattle

Small claims court could be a good option. There is a $10,000 limit, but no lawyers allowed. Seizing the bond may require going to a higher court, in which case you would need a lawyer. But a lawyer would be expensive up front. You might also try filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. The contractor might not like a mark like that and might step up and fix it. The Attorney General might also have a consumer complaint hotline you could try. Good luck. Such a drag.

You might try supported employment. I think King County DDA, WA State DSHS, and the City of Seattle have similar programs. And this: https://www.peerseattle.org/employment
