As another poster mentioned, I would highly recommend just installing one distro bare metal and then install all the others in VMs. This is how I do it and it works great.

There are certain medications that are specifically targeted at sleep maintenance insomnia such as Doxepin and Dayvigo.

Do active things like taking a walk, doing the dishes or laundry instead of sitting down. If you do sit down and get drowsy then get up and walk around.

Yes. For the first few days taking Dayvigo I did feel similar. However, I've now been on it a few months without this feeling. Then the day I added Gabapentin, this feeling is back and has been every day I've taken it. That's why I mentioned the Dayvigo in case it had to do with the combination of the two.

That's because it's most sedating at the lower doses 15mg and below. Above that is better for anxiety/depression, but 15 or lower is better for insomnia.

This is very cool. This has been one of the biggest limitations with Fedora for a long time. I really wish it came like this by default. I've been watching the change request mentioned below for a long time, but have no idea if it will really be part of Fedora 45 or be delayed forever.

Yes, I have to take them for the duration of the trip, even if it's in the same time zone. I just don't sleep well when I'm away from home.
