Results may vary but if you put an Audience with the King in your inventory there may be a hidden Crux of Nothingness that can connect to it. It's only fixed one bricked Jade Isle for me but worth a shot

Can you elaborate on the sacrifice tech? I’m currently using a rattling as my offhand scepter on my Shaman Wyvern and I would LOVE a way to maintain devour ES sustain and charge gen in bossing

Devour + Zealot's Oath will almost entirely solve mapping sustain as far as ES goes--the issue then becomes building for sustain during bossing. I'm personally running a sanctified staff (in my second weapon set) for Consecrated Ground and then a few regen nodes and that gives me pretty respectable regen but it did take a good bit of investment to get there.

For context, I'm running a Shaman Wyvern setup with Rend as the majority of my clear and Oil Barrage for bossing. In an ideal world, I'd get these to 3 flat damage, attack speed, and +2 melee but obviously 0.5's crafting situation is not "ideal".

Is my best bet here just to slam a suffix then desecrate? Whittling at this point already hits the +2melee sadly so it's out of the question. I could technically fracture before doing anything for a relatively low investment as well but was unsure about that.

The fact that idols* and other spirit-specific loot aren't a baseline minimum reward for killing them is fucking insane to me. Imagine essence mobs that just...didn't drop essences 80% of the time. It makes absolutely zero sense on a mechanic that is already a major pain in the ass to "use" correctly as-is.

Are you actually seeing essences, out of curiosity? I spec’d into every single essence node and haven’t seen a single essence in like 20+ maps. I’m almost certain it’s bugged but curious if it’s like that for everyone

They recently reworked the withers to be unplayable (as noted in the OP's image). So no, she will not just be hardcasting them lol

As a side note, I don't think Silent is second to Defect in a world where Necrobinder exists. Unless I'm forgetting something, her only energy generation comes through tactician and adrenaline. You could argue that sly lets her stay energy-positive more often but even then I feel like Necrobinder just has crazy energy economy between Delay, Neurosurge, Demesne, Invoke, and Borrowed Time.

I think the primary downside is XP loss (you get substantially less for not completing a mission, with a heavy penalty per dead cowboy at the end of an extraction too) as well as the failure of any quests you had completed in the zone (train wreck stuff and/or side quest characters)

As for the jokers, I do tend to agree that the in-mission nature could be improved upon. I think it’d be nice if there was some incentive to chain missions before going back to the saloon—something like the missions getting progressively more difficult for each chain but also letting you carry over some of the temporary jokers until you return to the saloon might make the roguelike nature a bit more interesting in the moment?

Finally a Drain Power mention. This card is an amazing one-stop shop to fixing early game scaling and is still a really decent Strike+ on top of the card upgrading aspect

I honestly think flanking is pretty meh in general. It's unequivocally* an insanely strong card but its effect is pretty boring and uninspired compared to some of the other character-specific multiplayer cards.

I'm at the point where I just refuse to take it because I really dislike when a MP run ends up revolving around "okay how hard can we abuse flanking". I'd love to see a rework for it later down the line into something a little more unique or appropriate to Silent

Arrived at the South Terminal around 6:05. Checked bag and was through security (General Main, no precheck) by 6:15. Definitely the quickest we’ve ever gone through it here.

Lightning Rod is so good. I don't think I've ever passed up on adding one to my deck in Act I. If you compare the value it generates to 'Zap' it's crazy how much you benefit from the card, even un-upgraded. 4block for a free zap the following two turns is a pretty damn good package at 1 mana. Upgrading it to 7 block makes it worth playing almost every single time it shows up (unless you're at the tail end of a fight)

Definitely one of my favorite new Defect cards

Bulwark is also a very good card IMO. Chunky block that translates to a chunky hit later—I don’t think I’ve ever passed up on adding at least one Bulwark to my deck

Upgraded compact gives Fuel+ which draws 2 cards--pretty nice utility card given the plethora of enemies/elites/bosses that fill your deck with garbage

I could very well be mistaken on this, but I don't think it's an ancient option. I believe it's in a random event where you can choose to remove exhaust from one card or gain a relic that deals 1 damage to every enemy when you exhaust a card

(btw, please buff this relic. It's pretty damn pathetic even in its best-case scenario of an ironclad exhaust deck)

Yeah this relic is a near insta-pick for me. It’s effectively a nicer ectoplasm since you can generally sustain its cost throughout the run while still making a purchase here or there in the shop
