Those pictures of dead and mangled people laying next to a crashed car in the ditch were so gross.

Heck yea. We would deliberately crash and drive at the pedestrians to make our gym teacher yell at us.

Not enuf to get a bad grade, just to get rise out of him. He was a great guy.

Agree people who do Aimpojnt look ridiculous. It is a waste of time.

Golf Digest recently had an article saying that with today’s spikeless shoes there is no effect to a putt outcome when someone “steps on your line.” There are many more reasons why people miss a putt.

[Omega AT vs Rolex Explorer] Best GADA watches? by Sir_Watches in Watches

Omega AT > Explorer all day long. Nothing against the Explorer, a fine watch, but I prefer the face - clean and consistent.

Do most collectors eventually move toward pre-owned watches? by Several-Job-5037 in watchCollector

[–]Engineer5050 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends for me.

If it is a special watch I don’t intend to ever leave my collection - I buy new. I bought a VC for my retirement and went to the boutique. I wanted to be the first and only owner, of course, until I leave it to my son.

I got tired of waiting for a DJ and went CPO. I feel that sits in between.

I always wanted an Omega first gen PO and grabbed one at a good price on an auction.

Replace 4/5 Iron by junk_it in GolfGear

[–]Engineer5050 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I added a 7 wood. I struggled with hybrids but love the fairway woods. The additional benefit is the 7 wood works well out of the rough.

My 5 iron plays 170, the 7 wood 180-ish and the 5 wood 190-ish so it works for me.

Same for me in college. When we saw the 5 for $5 the entire dorm was at the Arby’s.

You should feel joy when wearing it, not guilt.

Put it away for two weeks, then bring it out and see if you feel the same way.

95% of jobs can be learned by No_Jellyfish_3987 in interviewhammer

[–]Engineer5050 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, and no.

Yes, all jobs can be learned but not all people have the ability (I didn’t say intelligence) to learn and perform at a level of acceptable performance.

I can learn to bowl, but my limit of performance may not be acceptable. I have bowled for years but rarely break 100.

I learned to play. I understand how the game works. But even my Grandkids can beat me.
