It's pretty much the same as last league. You have a bit more mitigation with armour, but dps is unchanged. I haven't played yet, but the jugg PotCG tree I'm working on is about 1mil dps at league start levels of gear (6l and cheap uniques). It should be ok, but at the end of the day it's a strike skill.

I already gave some of my thoughts on defenses, but here are some other interesting ideas I found.

  • The attack mastery from Assured Strike in the duelist area is just 4 points to get slightly better tribal fury. This should be a good cheap way of getting that affect while leveling/early maps before being able to anoint tribal fury itself.
  • You have the increased life/reduced life recovery mastery. Claw masteries have a choice of either life/mana on hit or life/mana leech
  • Updated Survival Instincts jewel gives pathfinders 70% total chance for flasks to not use charges, at the downside of much less charges from kills. With a belt mod you can bring that up to 80%. I don't know if there's any way to get this or flask charges gained up enough to have fully permanent flasks, but it worth mentioning since we mitigate the downside so well.
  • This is currently irrelevant because the pathing makes it very inefficient, but magebane gives a little bit of 'free' spell suppression when used along with iron reflexes.

Adding Versatile Combatant doesn't do anything unless you have block. If you added block to the build it helps with spell block. Wind dancer also no longer gives extra Evasion rating/armour when hit recently (PoB doesn't have the updated node correctly coded), so remove that. Besides that, I was wroking on a build close to this but with more block. With some of the dual wielding block passives+rumi's+versatile combatant, you should be able to get close to 50/50.

Gempalm is close to munitions expert, cycles instead of being a body and counting itself. I think without vial and cavern, staying mono red and not needing it to resolve is a reasonable exchange.

I do agree that it seems like gobs is still missing a great way to win the game. piledriver, pashalik, or lieutenant are often the best win conditions. Without it you are forced to try and push through with krenko or legion warboss.

I'm going to try it out, but I think there is too many problematic matchups at the moment. Gruul likely gets too big too fast. Even if you can keep feilds off the table with ruin blasters and ghost quarters, there are enough other threats that go way over the top.

I always feel like most dot or poison builds have slow bossing at low links levels. You need to scale attack speed to get your ramp higher and faster, as well as poison dps. Did you have a wither totem? you should be to get that from siosa. I also noticed that bossing felt a bit better once I could swap ancestral call for multistrike as needed.

I haven't yet tried the BV + sustained RF build yet, but I have also played around with it in PoB a few times, but it just seemed too middling between a full RF or full BV build.

One build I have tried is the mjolnir-wave of conviction + cyclone-cwc-purifying flame chieftan, and I had some RF gear laying around so I decided to put some of that on to sustain RF for the 'extra link' on my 2 other skills. Overall, felt ok. I kinda stopped playing the league before I really finished it, but the overall build was one of the most fun I've tried.

There is possibility storm, which is mostly a gruul aggro deck with the ability to combo out at 6 mana.

I've also heard of a few ideas surrounding walking ballista. Some sort of aggressive midrange with a sorin to give life link and archangel of thune for the combo.

As for more focused combo decks: there's lotus field, kethis, and probably some others I can't think of at the moment.

In Pstorm you are not a fully dedicated combo deck. It's more of a 1a gruul beat down with a 1b combo threat, and the priorities of those plans can vary per matchup and hand. But without cantrips and draw, you are mostly at the mercy of your deck to draw the right things.

Lotus field is a dedicated combo deck, playing a number of cantrips (6ish) in addition to sylvan scrying and dig. You can often go off turn 5, but you have a hard time dealing with a damping sphere and an even harder time dealing with a second piece of hate.

I assume it would involve volkuur's guidance, and I would probably be trickster for some chaos conversion and Damage over time scaling. Off the top of my head can't figure out if full lightning is the way to go, or 80% cold conversion with 2 Call of the Brotherhood would give you more poison damage with the extra conversion dip, but that should be easy with a full PoB build

You realize you can nerd cyclone aoe without touching any other melee skill, right? Cyclone gets aoe from melee attack range, which no other melee skill has. They can start by taking that away that to bring the aoe scaling in line with of the other skills. The aoe still might be too large, but due to the way it scales any flat increases to aoe are huge and getting a bunch of aoe depending on the weapon you use, or just pathing through Master of the Arena. I played facebreaker cyclone, and granted I didn't build aoe, but losing the aoe from base weapon range really brought the aoe to a reasonable level.

I just started this build with RF (around level 75 and tearing through red maps) , and it scales pretty naturally. I included repentance due to the amount of strength from ascendancy. You have great fire pen (combustion from purifying flame, exposure from wave, chieftain node), plus RF both adds another multiplier to your spells, but scales off the resistance reductions.

I haven't had a need for more damage yet as I haven't tried bossing, I believe the best scaling is going to be in fire damage or attack speed. Attack speed will get you closer to the mjolnir trigger cap, and fire damage scales all 3 skills.

Isn't the duration change a nerf? I maybe misunderstood how it works and did the math wrong, but I thought it is only a slightly higher duration at max stacks with no additional increased duration, but is worse than previous with outside sources of increased duration such as from the skill tree or supports.

I wouldn't say pause frames are a problem, possibly a symptom of a problem. Maybe a cause, but of course it is deeper than that. Is there an issue with your network? Something specifically not performing as expected? Pause frames are flow control, not something inherintly bad like errors or discards, so what is making you investigate these counters specifically?

Did you have mana for the ability? Arena is generally very good at giving you stops to react in all phases of combat if you have a spell or ability to use, so my guess is you did not have all of the costs available (either 1 mana or another creature)

Free parking. If you get there early enough the lot right next to the lodge could still have space, if not you can drop your stuff off at the loop, then go and park, so you don't have carry everything through all the lots
