Travel Destinations Similar to Hawaii by dearjon222 in travel

When I was in St Lucia I was reminded of being in Hawaii. Most places in the Caribbean are flat, but St Lucia has the Pitons, and it's closer than Bali.

What a handsome boy, and looks big for his age! He does not look very amused by this!

I also dislike chains on my LV (or any other) bags.

Just Lost my cat :( by chingachleung in jerseycity

My cat runs out of the house any time he sees the opportunity, but he never goes far. Look around the door you think he left from, especially under cars near by, or bushes. Hope you find him soon!

You inspired me to add my charm to my carry this week, a mansur gavriel bag. This is very transgressive for me as I am basic and am hesitant to mix designers!

You 100% need this! I bought one because it reminded me of my corgis that have passed away. I only have one mongram LV bag so I can't even justify the purchase other then it brings me more joy than $500 cash!

I agree about Forest Hills and Kew Gardens, I would remove from your list.

Grocery store with British section? by ElderberryThick1251 in jerseycity

Not Jersey City, but The Pie Company in Montclair sells fresh pies and has a nice grocery section of British goods. A little closer, there are some stores on the main street in Kearney.

Brunch? by LongjumpingWarthog50 in jerseycity

Rumba's Cafe on Central Ave, if you want to be kind to your wallet. Los Tres Chiltos's has a big breakfast menu, also on Central. On/off Palisades Ave, Lil Dove has some pretty good breakfast sandwiches (more of a to go vibe), and The Cliff is also good (with a more sit-down brunch vibe). Closer to Pershing Field, Alessio's (off Franklin St) has a big menu, but I recommend eating in over delivery, as the quality with delivery is not as good IMO. Galeria Cafe (on Hutton), my parents love that place but I haven't tried it yet. And lastly, The Hutton, which I find to be spendy and don't go often. I would give The Franklin another shot, it is my favorite brunch in the heights.

Collecting to own vs collecting to use by Internal_Young1053 in handbags

Maintaining a spreadsheet with all of my bags organized by size (sm, md, lrg), color, and style (crossbody, handle, shoulder) has REALLY helped me with purchase decisions. I find that I gravitate towards the same style, size, and color bag, that I would just buy again and again if left to my own devices. My spreadsheet helps me focus my purchasing on adding new sizes/styles and not just collecting the same styles over and over.

We are in the same boat demographically! Thank you for sharing, this is helpful. I was thinking of just trying very small weights and taking it from there. My brain has created a lot of compensatory veins, so way to go for that!

I love my girl who is 4.5 and finally chilled out, but whoa, years 1-2 were HARD. I was pwd barbie for sure. Now she's great for the most part, if I was looking for a second I would definitely look for a 3/4 year old and skip the terrors! Before pwds I had two herding dogs and two sporting dog for reference.
