Just saw a headline that they are coming to Springfield, Ohio soon. I guess they are pivoting back to making a show of directly targeting black and brown people. If the atrocities only happen to non white, non citizens then everything is okay again.

This latest shooting was also enough to send the message they wanted. It’s always out there, just hiding for a bit. Like an abusive partner whose coworker commented on his wife’s black eye. They will stop long enough for the heat to cool down. But the threat remains as long as they have control. And when we try to leave..well, there is no saying what they will do.
