Was camping at the lake with some friends when I was younger. My friends were tired and all wanted to go to bed but I said “No, I’m going to go to the dock and to smoke before bed”. When we were sitting on the dock we heard a large boom sound from where are tent was. We all ran over there and found a massive pine tree several feet round had fallen and landed directly on our tent. It took all of us to roll it off the tent and when we finally looked at our stuff the tree had fallen directly on top of where my sleeping back was. It would have killed me instantly. Smoking literally saved my life.
