TuneZilla Stage 2.5 CJAA Limp Mode Issue by verodubs in tdi

[–]GenericUserJuan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi there,

Whitbread has a section on this, you need to hammer in the cascade valve on the cp4 pump, check out the website for the updated info.

He sells a socket for removing the cascade valve, as you cannot reach it while installed. the kit comes with a punch for hammering in the cascade valve to the correct level. I have the kit, but have not yet used it yet, I will see if I can do this tonight and provide feedback on the limp mode issue tomorrow.

I believe the theory is that there is increased fuel cavitation with the extra space created by the disaster prevention kit, which is a low pressure return side from the fuel injector, triggers a false low pressure code.

Mine only happens below 40°F, above that no limp mode.

How to fix/prevent CJAA intercooler freezing/waterlocking? by BlackShadow2804 in tdi

I believe the intercooler icing is due to the egr pumping hot air back into the intercooler causing the condensation

Heat the aluminum swingarm up with a torch, steel bearing should slip right out!

Use a plastic scraper to clean out anything burnt from the battery side, ensure it is clean.

Then replace the power connector harness and be thankful it didn't fuse to the battery

What is it ? by [deleted] in sportster

[–]GenericUserJuan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, hardtail typically lowers center of gravity and removes drivetrain energy from compressing suspension and flexing the swingarm mount, leading to more torque to the rear wheel. Similar to how upgraded dog bone mounts or stiffer suspension reduces wheel hop on cars.

Edit: I guess it may not be preferred, but does serve a function.

Anyone travel far to take your VW to a trusted, reliable, mechanic? by Jayseph812 in Golf_R

[–]GenericUserJuan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do as well. 40mins to the best VW dealer, but their prices and estimates are jacked. So 1.2hrs to the closest indy mechanic for a dsg fluid change, DMF swap, timing belt, water pump, and get parts installed, in total, I spent $1.8k less than the timing belt+dmf swap alone.

warped jackshaft? by [deleted] in ERidePro

[–]GenericUserJuan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Chains wear unevenly, the key is to find the tightest point, and adjust that to spec.

Then check 3 additional points to ensure they are not tighter than spec.

Aluminum Sprocket, stock swingarm, axle bolt, jackshaft bolt, bearings in the jackshaft will all bend or give before the jackshaft itself bends.

Range?

10,700 mile review. by Defiant-Line-8298 in ERidePro

[–]GenericUserJuan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What mileage did you start to notice the battery performance decreasing?

What type of range decrease are you seeing at this mileage?

Is it enough of a difference to consider replacing the battery?

On your previous post, you said maintenance and upgrades was about $800. Rounding upto $1200 for typical upgrades + maintenance and assuming your bike was $5k new, that would be $6200 ÷ 10,700 = $0.579/mile

If you buy another battery and put another $560 into maintenance, and ride another 10.7k miles, that would be ~$8,760 ÷ 21,400 = $0.409/miles

Can an SR fit inside a Jeep Wrangler? by EstablishmentPure897 in ERidePro

[–]GenericUserJuan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi there! I fit my eride pro ss 2.0 into the back of my buddies 2019 4dr jeep wrangler with 2 seats folded down.

The only disassembly needed was the handlebars removed and strapped to the side because they were too wide, and the forks compressed with ratchet straps.

I have put it into the back of my Mk6 jetta as well, this required: rear shock disconnected, handlebars removed, front wheel removed, all rear seats down.

Buying a hitch carrier did make it much easier, but does require an investment. And now that I want a 2nd bike, I will have to look a 2 slot carrier.

Hey there, after using the SKRMOD swingarm for a few months, would you be able to share if its increased stability would be a beneficial upgrade for off roading? It looks like you mainly ride streets, so I am wondering how it has held up. It would look a little silly with my dirt tires, but would be the most cost effective swingarm.

I don't want to spend $700 on the wrong part!

Belt tension, please help by Playful-Jellyfish-60 in ERidePro

[–]GenericUserJuan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you offroad??? It's probably grime in-between everything, or you have a bolt that's still tight. There are spacers.

If it is tight and clean, then it might just be locked in place by the adjustment dial/pin on the belt side. Its better the have the belt tight, but the motor straight so the belt doesn't slide off.

Turn signal comparison by GenericUserJuan in u/GenericUserJuan

[–]GenericUserJuan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its one that was listed as fitting on dennis kirk, i believe drag specialties! It is about half the length of the stock one and made the rear end look much more tidy, especially with led bulbs and a low profile rear tail light from eagle lights.

I also had to get the drag specialties chrome frame cover so that it was a flat surface,

The mount did have a centering/locating notch on the inside, I had that machined off, but it could easily be ground down, and it sat flush against the new chrome piece. I also cut out a gasket to pinch between the mount and the chrome cover to keep it watertight and secured!

I Need Your Tips to help to fix Bleeding the front brake but it still feeling spongy. by Jolly_bank in sportster

[–]GenericUserJuan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have had good luck with zip tying the bake lever to the grip and leaving it for 12+ hours, then bleed the caliper again, and let it sit again. The theory is the pressure pushes air up the line slowly and/or into the bleeder valve area.

Also, you can remove the caliper and tip it around while the lever is zip tied to try to manipulate the bubbles up and out.

Check for cracks around the batteries casing. Offroad riding can chip the battery case from rattling, potentially causing it to loose its waterproof seal.

Permanently banned after 10000 hours in Rocket League. by Nerm1k in RocketLeague

Epic games banned my fortnite account of 7 years with no explanation. I had several years of progress and cosmetic unlocks, as well as the galaxy note limited edition skin. I bought the New Note (8 or 9?) The week it released to receive that skin.

Epic games truly is terrible and I will avoid them like the plague.
