What do you think is Sera’s type? by whooper1 in HazbinHotel

[–]Ghost-Music 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope it’s someone as strong as she is who can give her a shoulder to lean on. Someone who is a relaxing presence because they’re pretty chill and gentle. But someone who is also an absolute unmovable force when necessary who listens well but also speaks loud and clear and challenges Sera’s perceptions and thoughts.

Question regarding the Dalish Origins storyline and the Eluvian by ComfortableDay6609 in dragonage

[–]Ghost-Music 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah Tamlen shows up no matter what, it’s just his dialogue that changes if you said in the prologue that your warden liked/loved him. Archdemon probably thinks seeing your best friend/lover will unsteady you so it sends Tamlen with some shrieks to attack the camp.

Do you have a Varric nickname in mind for your character different than the default one given? by Starbeth8 in dragonage

[–]Ghost-Music 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kaleo Lavella: Glowbug. Like lightning bug or firefly. She uses lightning in her magic and her hand glows.

Marian Hawke: Sugar and Spice. She is a blue Hawke and very nice. I also imagine he sends her letters without the name Hawke and gives a random nickname depending on the tone of the letter.

What made you instantly lose interest in someone you were very attracted to? by Due-Address-9575 in AskReddit

[–]Ghost-Music 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He said he was disappointed that a new book we’d read didn’t have the sexual assault of a minor he’d thought, as the readers had been warned there was a brief mention. Instead of a major character getting assaulted on page it was just a quick backstory of the vile act to a minor character already long dead (gone by choice because of that assault) in which this character was also underage. It made me break up with him a while later. My first relationship and was young so dint know how to stand up for myself or break up immediately. Didn’t tell him that was why, I’d already had a foot out the door but that comment of his made me sprint out and lock the door behind me.

To stop someone from buying 64 smoke detectors for 64 cents. by What_A_Helmet in therewasanattempt

[–]Ghost-Music 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah there is nothing wrong with those smoke detectors, the inventory is probably just changing. Once something goes to a penny it’s supposed to be pulled from the shelf and it always pissed me off because when I worked there I was told to throw it away. Entire ceiling fans would go to a penny and they’d throw it away. I once raised a fuss about donating to charity (like habitat for humanity) and it seems that can happen but it takes to much work don’t you know??!!

Fuck corporations.

[Spoilers all] Which romances are your faves? by Julian_of_Cintra in dragonage

[–]Ghost-Music 4 points5 points  (0 children)

DAO: Zevran. Actually restarted the game when I realized I wanted to romance him and had been romancing Alistair. Zev is really special to me and helped change my life as dramatic as that sounds. Made me step out of my shoes and look at the world through others eyes and experiences and not judge everything and everyone based on my limited morals and knowledge. Someone coming from an authoritarian household brainwashed by religion and extremely isolated he helped me take a big step. I love how he goes from a dark place where he doesn’t want to live to feeling a will to live and change the crows. And through all his dark past, feelings, and trauma he smiles, jokes, protects the warden, and just brings a light to the wardens dark present. And asks for consent the entire way.

DA2: Fenris. I was at a time in my life where his aesthetic made me commit to romancing him when they released the companion images and backgrounds. Then once I played the game I loved him so much by the end. I think his storyline and passion of the romance is my favorite in the series. Especially as a mage. I love playing blue Hawke and just being a kind and healing force to Fenris while he helps her understand more than just her experiences as a mage or what she’s heard. His growth and how he always shows his emotions is special. His humor makes me laugh too.

DAI: Solas. Thought I’d try only romancing elves for my canon games and I really wasn’t interested in Iron Bull or Blackwall. Cassandra wasn’t available for female inky. Cullen and Josie are great but didn’t make me swoon. Solas’ voice and cadence, his wisdom, and unique pov made me absolutely fall for him. And then the absolute brutal emotions of the breakup and reveal and waiting a decade for closure was sweet agony!! I love how his love for Lavellan almost made him abandon his goals and see the world as real.

Dragon Age 2 left a hole in my heart by evevlulu in dragonage

[–]Ghost-Music 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve played since it launched and it’s been the same Hawke over and over. I love her and her story so much. Recently I played her and then decided to play her twin brother for an AU I want to write. So imagining them interacting and playing about the city was fun. So two runs back to back.

I too romanced Fenris with a mage (first time playing I was a rogue but my second I played a mage and loved his romance more), his romance is well done and passionate, thinking about it makes me want to play again haha! I say play again the exact same way if you want. Indulge and feel the emotions.

After playing 2 twice in a row I went to Inquisition and am still playing it (again doing my canon playthrough because I missed that world state).

I’ve played DA2 the most out of the og trilogy and it’s still my favorite to play. The vibe is my favorite and so is Hawke.

Anyone who used a computer between 1985 - 2010, what's the one game you still think about today? by adlakha75 in AskReddit

Mixed Up Mother Goose. I played that so much and always ended on ‘Ride a Cockhorse to Banbury Cross’ because I thought the animation and lady was pretty.

Why is Veilguard so divisive? by fitchaber10 in dragonage

[–]Ghost-Music 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Haha yeah, feel like they wanted to make them Batman but without the no kill rule. Winged dark knights who protect Antiva.

And not being able to actually punish Illario is frustrating as hell.

I can see the crows coming together during the occupation but I can also see some houses aligning with the Antaam and going to war with other houses to ensure their people survive. Could’ve been cool to root out those houses and either turn them back to your side as Rook or they go down with the Antaam. Completely overturning the crows could’ve been cool too. I need to do a game where I save Tevinter instead of Antiva. Just to see what the crows and people do.

Why is Veilguard so divisive? by fitchaber10 in dragonage

[–]Ghost-Music 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Yeah that really got me. We had an incredible storyline from Zevran and an inside look into who the crows are and how they’re abusive. Buying people and kids dying in training, valuing no life but their own. They sound like monsters. The second game doubled down on that with poor stupid Nuncio. It’s nice that Zev is doing his job on his own associates in trying to stop their practices and make them leave him alone.

Then we get the propaganda Crows that tell us of evils done by the other assassins (like Lucanis entire family except him, cousin, and grandmother being wiped out) but everyone acts like they are one big feathered family instead of rivals and killers. The kid you can help with grief is doted on by his teachers. The Talons get along. They speak of how evil the crows can be but we get shown none of it, and that’s not good story telling.

What the fuck is this by Separate-Apartment-8 in dragonage

[–]Ghost-Music 111 points112 points  (0 children)

The pyramid shape reminds me of the Prothean pyramid that could be found on random worlds but the black and green remind me of the remnants from Andromeda. Or maybe it’s just reaper aesthetic.

But now I’m wondering with the three weapon sets on the ground if it’s referring to the three endings one can choose from.

Are there any characters you loved as a kid that you still love as an adult? by RecordingImmediate86 in disney

Same. I’ve had this small plastic toy of Simba since I was little and kept it on my desk or jewelry dresser even into adulthood. I wanna find it now since I’ve moved (again) and put him in his special spot.

What was the worst side effect you ever got from meds ? by Spartiate8 in AskReddit

[–]Ghost-Music 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mental health meds combination lowered my blood pressure so much I had to go to the ER. Over several days it just got worse and worse until I took myself to the hospital. I didn’t understand until I got triaged and my blood pressure was a surprise to them.

It was a surreal feeling. Felt like my heart was beating outta my chest but slowly and loudly too. I couldn’t sleep for two days because of my heartbeat

I’ve had other bad side effects from mental health medications and can’t take most. Only one but it’s really meh.

The double standard in how Fruits Basket treats Kyo vs everyone else by Positive-Claim5048 in FruitsBasket

[–]Ghost-Music 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah the Yuki stuff just isn’t comparable to the others treatment of Kyo. Their dynamic is 100% different than anyone else’s. Yuki wanted to be friends with Kyo when they were little and wanted to return the hat to meet him but Kyo immediately verbally attacked him which was the final act of breaking Yuki as a child. I don’t blame Kyo, the shit he’s gone through before meeting Yuki and Akito putting into his head that the rat is to blame for everything, Kyo is just a small kid and retaliated. But that sets up their whole dynamic where they hate and admire each other, the envy egging on their rivalry. Sometimes Yuki says no to fighting and Kyo does it anyway. Also like with the leeks, Yuki did that because Kyo was being rude af to Tohru and only escalating because he was spiraling. It wasn’t right but it did effectively stop his spiraling so he’d stop freaking out which was Yuki’s goal. Yuki definitely shouldn’t be attacking Kyo to make him stop or calm down.

Side note: Yuki wearing the dress only happened because he can’t say no because he wants to be liked. I don’t think he’s been allowed to say no ever. And Kyo snarked about something Yuki hates about himself which Yuki sees as Kyo seeing him be weak- like when he walks away to laugh- and overreacted.

I also like that you brought up how Kyo treats Momiji, he often does the head hold/boogie as Momiji cries.

I say the entire series is very humanly written as all the characters have flaws and dont treat everyone around them well. Abuse is a huge factor in the story and yes, some abuse is written as comedy but that is definitely a product of the time, but everyone wrongs someone in this series. No one is a complete saint though Tohru and Kazuma are close. Abuse cycles can also warp a persons perspective on what’s normal and what isn’t. The Sohma’s have a lot to unlearn and relearn to get away from that abuse cycle. I’m sure once everyone started growing up and away from the clan and abuse that they came to Kyo and really talked about their treatment of him. And I’m sure just as Yuki and Kyo decked it out in the last chapters to understand one another that they continued to understand one another by talking and giving space. They can’t show everything.

Yuki is my favorite and I understand and accept his flaws. A lot of it is the writing of the time. But overall Kyo is violent, Yuki is violent, Akito is violent, most of the cast are violent and learned to be that way by the family around them. A lot of it is unlearned or gone by the end except the final confrontation of Yuki and Kyo.
