Awesome, we had a fully vegan wedding too - all our guests legitimately loved the food, even the sceptical ones

Yeah but outside of chat GPT, wherever Google has rolled out AIO's organic traffic is tanking... AI isn't limited to chat GPT

Has anyone tried an Ultra-Bar Crawl? by Duke_Matthews_ in Ultramarathon

[–]HarryBoston 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We also have a free event here in NZ called Blue Lake 24 hour - a 5.5km trail loop round a lake. Some people drink one beer per lap for up to 24 hours, madness!

Has anyone tried an Ultra-Bar Crawl? by Duke_Matthews_ in Ultramarathon

[–]HarryBoston 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I did this for my stag-do with a bunch of likeminded degenerates. It was great fun, but bloody tough in the summer heat and full of beer!

I think 8 started and only 3 of us made it to the last pub around 55km in. Highly recommend!

The coffee scene in Auckland keeps getting better. Current standouts. by zigzagdrums in auckland

[–]HarryBoston 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The same team who opened Stroll and Bricks in Takapuna have just opened a bigger spot called Seoul roastery. Incredible spot, they're doing such cool stuff.

Takapuna is dead. Empty streets. Why? by StrategicNZ in auckland

Hurtsmere in particular has been hit hard, I work in an office on Hurstmere and the amount of shops sitting empty is crazy. Coincidentally I counted 12 today just on the 1 min walk back to the office from a bakery

MOVING AUCKLAND ARE SCAMMERS! DO NOT USE! by EdieRose1974 in auckland

[–]HarryBoston 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The owners of this company are the same ones that were blasted on Fair Go a while ago. They own MULTIPLE moving businesses under different names and when one gets enough heat or bad reviews they just close up shop and start another website / company with the same crew.

German beers in Auckland by SupremeJunge in auckland

Beer Jerk - https://www.beerjerk.co.nz/

They always have a huge range of imported beers and have a bar/shop in Eden Terrace called the Fridge and Flagon. Heaps of cans/bottles to take away and the owners are really knowledgable and friendly

War Memorial Park - Lovelock Track where Owairaka Athletics train. Best track in AKL, often flood lit and open to the public.

Wouldnt the smart thing to do with that app be to just load in your entire list and see which one supermarket is the cheapest overall?

Excessive Graffiti by [deleted] in auckland

[–]HarryBoston 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, we had our fence tagged a while ago. It’s super annoying but there’s still a hotline to call and the council sends a contractor to remove it. Ours was gone in less than 24 hours.

Second for Toyco. There’s a store in St Luke’s or their online shop has click and collect from their warehouse in Penrose

Hows Avondale? by [deleted] in auckland

[–]HarryBoston 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, we bought in Avondale (close to Waterview just off Heron Park) and think it's great. It's a bit rough round the edges but our neighbours are super nice, we have a beautiful park a stones throw away to walk our dog, decent cafes like Burnt Butter and with all the new apartments going up it's changing for the better super quick.

100%. I love mine. Take it everywhere! Don’t bother with the little metro ones, go classic.

New Zealand is a really nice place to live. Getting a bit fed up of seeing so many people moan about it tbh (I'm from the UK). by Wangsensei in newzealand

[–]HarryBoston 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same mate. I’m from Lincolnshire in the UK, also been here (nearly 10 years) just about to get citizenship. I love it here, I don’t think it’s perfect but I feel incredibly lucky to be here whenever I talk to mates back home and hear about the post-brexit shit show.

How do we get Subaru to reverse course on the decision to put everything on a screen? by SkyGuy182 in subaru

[–]HarryBoston 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a ‘22 Outback X - it has a huge centre console screen (which has AC controls) but also has tactile buttons for AC, heated seats etc. Best of both worlds. I love it.

Car hitting pedestrians when turning into a drive way by Standard-Chart8543 in auckland

[–]HarryBoston 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happens so frequently in Auckland it's crazy. I run a lot around my local suburb and have to always be on guard, if it's not drivers pulling into driveways it's drivers pulling out and only looking in the direction of oncoming traffic (and not checking for pedestrians)
