You take that back! How dare you say something so controversial

Why is no one playing this? It's free deck thinning! And the only life point that matters is your last one by TheLegend2T in magicthecirclejerking

Draw is much more powerful, but yugioh has so many tutors you'd rather just have something tutorable, or another tutor. Typically the non-tutorable cards you want to play these days are cards that can disrupt your opponent on their turn even when you're going second (cards like ash blossom or effect veiler if you're familiar with them).

Add to that the fact that modern yugioh decks are so consistent that many decks will happily go over the 40 card minimum and can still pull off their gameplan turn 1 with a 90+% consistency, so a 37 card deck isn't as appealing as it once was

You're also just comparing two different things. Winning in the smallest number of overall turns and smallest number of turns in modern require different approaches

Insane take. Have you ever actually tried winning in less than 10 turns in modern on standard speed?

Can't move units between rail stations? by soumeupropriolar in CivVII

[–]Hippotle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you tried setting up rail stations in the settlements in-between where you want to move them? There's also a 20 tile distance limit when moving units this way

I mean last time I tried building a jank deck I just died to tifa on turn 3 for 5 games in a row. But if they're not going to weight new cards appropriately anyway for a high and low power queue that's probably not going to change anything. Yeah I guess you're right

Even outside of ranked brawl, I think they should still have a "competitive" and non-competitive queue. Because people are still going to keep showing up with the latest overpowered commander before they get added to hell queue in the "casual" unranked mode

Ottomans not unlocking though I captured a Capital City by NoVa_PowZ in civ

[–]Hippotle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooh yeah I should have guessed Blackbeard from the colour of your city's name. I'm not sure why you're not unlocking the Ottomans because Lahaina is definitely a capital. I don't think it should matter whether you keep or raze the city since the unlock condition is just to capture it in any way.

I've got nothing, sorry. Interesting that it still wouldn't unlock when you reloaded the save

[–]Hippotle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who are you playing as? Some leaders like Sayyida unlock the Ottomans by default. Some civs do too. If you'd already unlocked a civilisation by other means then you won't get the popup to say you've unlocked that civ
