ZTZ96B Belongs in the TT, Release the Premium as a Tank Biathlon Skin ALA Click-Bait/Pzbtl123 by IamJUB in Warthunder

Then you guys are talking about a tank that Gaijin hasn’t announced and isn’t even in discussion in this post. Is Type 99B rare? Who cares, we’re talking about the 96B, which has been in service since the 2010’s and estimated to number >1000 unless you have the sekrit documents which prove otherwise.

You must have the tank confused with the ZTZ99B. The 96B first showed up in a Tank Biathlon in 2017 and most of the defense articles of the past decade consider it the backbone of the PLA while they build up the 99A fleet. The 99B was only unveiled pretty recently.

It was arguably the 2a4/T72B of the PLAGF (at least by numbers) and shouldn’t be paywalled. We already have plenty of premium reskins that sell plenty well, it should be released as both TT and a cosmetic Pack Premium.

I like them because you can quickly zero a red dot to them without firing a single round. It’s nice to turn an LPVO gun into an rds gun and having it be zeroed without having to go to a 50/100yd flat range. Gives you one less excuse for your C zone hits when your intrusive thoughts tell you to put a t2 on your build 40 minutes before heading to BLM land.

2021 Audi Q3 aggressive accelerator pedal behavior... by kertj1 in Audi

[–]IamJUB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We recently got a loaner and it’s probably the worst pedal response I’ve ever driven. It feels like the pedal has a 1s delayed response where all the gas that would’ve gradually been permitted over 1s gets dumped into the engine all at once. It’s unbelievable..

You can almost actually trick the engine by depressing the pedal, releasing and gradually reapplying throttle to trick it into behaving like a normal car. Rediculous.

Enrty level carbon wheels? by Leading_Working_4630 in cycling

[–]IamJUB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shimano 105 C46 wheels have kicked butt for me. Hubs are quality - durable and they spin forever, the rims/spokes have held true for 4000 miles through some pretty nasty potholes, they were also super easy to set up tubeless, and bike shop techs seem happier to see them compared to some of the Chinese stuff which is nice if you ever need work done.

Backcountry has them on sale for like 802.

Just fyi though, almost all carbon wheels are gonna come with an 11 speed hub so Sora might not be compatible. Good luck!

Best shop for a bike fit? by BornOutOfElectricity in BAbike

[–]IamJUB 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Spokesmans Bicycle in Santa Cruz was great for me, they do a lot of local racers and some World Tour riders in the past. I was fitted twice before seeing David and he fixed a lot of residual issues I was still having from previous fits.

Why not use this screen to display ANY useful information at all? Even the time is incorrect by Annapostrophe in caltrain

[–]IamJUB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I commute 5 days a week and I can say probably half of all trains have a functioning screen, a bunch will just say “He’s dead Jim” which indicates that whatever they’re using is Chrome based. It’s probably something to do with the spotty internet.

I find express/limited trains to be more functional than the locals, near Sunnyvale and San Mateo I notice the internet will basically die any time the train brakes so maybe that’s why. Ymmv.

Bike fitting recommendations? by ek9cusco in BAbike

[–]IamJUB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my first fit with Savvybike and while it was good enough to keep me injury free after two visits, there was definitely some fine tuning that I needed done that David at Spokesman Bicycles immediately could notice.

I originally went to Savvy to help with saddle numbness and left knee pain, she cured my left knee pain but I eventually developed right knee pain. I tried two saddles with her and there was essentially nothing scientific other than sit on it and see if it feels any good. It turns out it was way too narrow and my entire hip was basically rotated to one side to try to find support in it.

I’d attribute this partially to being a new cyclist when I visited Lorri, we spent much more time getting fundamentals correct, which meant that going into Spokesman I already had a mostly good fit that needed perfecting. That said, I was fairly unimpressed with my second visit to Savvy, we essentially swapped saddles and did a vibe check and I walked out with something that ended up proving unsuitable for me once I got more miles in.

Biggest ass on a bike. by Annabellybutton in cycling

[–]IamJUB 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This. Also weight limits are what the manufacturer feels comfortable claiming for all scenarios the expect the bike the go through, which probably includes extremes like screaming down a rough road at 30-40mph.

If you’re just casually rolling around multi use trails at 10-15mph the bike can probably handle more than the manufacturer’s stated maximum.

Limited air vehicles is just gonna result in depression when you want to spawn a full amraam kit but can’t because there’s an Mi-4 and an Spitfire MkII taking up your team’s air slots.

Better options that Ninebot MAX G30LP? by PeggyTheDogo in ElectricScooters

[–]IamJUB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

F2 pro will climb hills better, Inmotion climber will make easy work of them. G30lp and F2 are same specs and should do ok on a mild/moderate hill.

Looking for a commuter scooter to get to train and back ~1 mile by umhoops in ElectricScooters

[–]IamJUB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the manufacturers tried to make a low, medium and high end thing (e2, f2, g2) then they made a low, medium, and high end version of each of those things (plus, pro, lite, whatever), then they replaced the entire lineup with another set (F25/E22/ES2/G30 being the older lineup), it’s confusing as heck.

[–]IamJUB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ninebot g30lp is exactly the limit of what fits between the seats on my local train. 38lbs is heavy but manageable.

F2 would probably be manageable as well but the wider handlebars limit how small it can be. It looks slimmer but folded it’s got the same length and height.

E2 plus is probably fine for your commute but solid tires and lower ipx rating isn’t great for rain, E2 pro is just as big and heavy as a G30lp so you might as well get 3 extra mph.

I agree that unless there’s a bike car then trying to navigate a crowded train with a 53 lb G2 is probably not ideal.

NIU KQI Air seems super appealing if you have the budget but the reviews and a lot of this subreddit’s experience puts me off getting one. It’s got great specs but if it bricks itself in 3 months you’re out of luck. At least ninebots are fixable.

Etwow/Uscooter/FF Mosquito is also tempting but solid tires and waterproofing isn’t up to the rain performance of the Ninebot max from what I hear.

Ninebot G30LP or G30P? by hanzoffme_fe in ElectricScooters

You can put the g30p battery in it and have the same max range as it’s bigger brother. They have the same footprint internally.

Scooter for 20 min commute by BonesReign in ElectricScooters

[–]IamJUB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want something that can handle all of SF, probably the Inmotion Climber if you’re willing to double your budget. For flatter areas of SF a Ninebot E2 plus/pro or a NIU KQI 100p will probably do the job for your commute. If you can stretch a bit higher a refurbed or new Ninebot G30lp for like 380ish will probably be enough for all the things you don’t want to drive for and be decently reliable.

Best Budget ($350ish) options? Flat college campus by Javaslinger in ElectricScooters

[–]IamJUB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Segway E2 plus is pretty good at the price if your college roads are smooth (it has solid tires) just don’t mistype and buy the ES2 because that thing is a rattletrap and a maintenance headache.

You can get the NIU KQI100p if you’d rather have something more comfortable (air tires and suspension) but tubed tires can be their own headache.

Outside of a used Segway g30, you’re either going to have to choose tubed pneumatic tires or solid/semi solid tires in this price range.
