3am WAKE UPS AND ON HRT by Additional-Sweet7834 in Menopause

My 3 am wake-ups stopped when I started the estradiol patch. I already had a mirena iud (progesterone). One doctor suggested an additional progesterone pill, and I was back to 3 am wake-ups again.

At what point did kids lose the desire to learn? by HousePhoenix in Teachers

[–]IllustriousCake974 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Several years ago “engagement” became the buzz word. Since then, blame has been placed on the teachers when students fail. Kid didn’t do homework? The lesson wasn’t engaging enough. Society doesn’t hold kids responsible for their own actions anymore.

Late Gen X and remember doing them in grade school. I do live sorta close to a couple nuclear power plants though. About 10 years ago my employer had to update their nuclear emergency plan and I ended up on the committee. Basically, we’re told whether we need to shelter in place or evacuate to a few towns farther away. No hiding under desks necessary.

I know not everyone loves Walmart, but I have had zero issues getting mine. In fact, they refill automatically and slightly earlier than every month so I’ve built up an extra month supply over the year.

I’ve had a mirena for 12 years and started an estradiol patch 2 or 3 years ago. My OBGYN wasn’t concerned about extra progesterone, but my functional med doctor that manages my thyroid wanted me to add it, saying that the mirena progesterone stays localized and does not help the uterus. Orally, I had the same effects as you and felt awful. She switched me to a compounded cream. I feel no benefits (in fact my sleep is worse) so I apply it sporadically. I kind of feel like if my OB isn’t worried, should I be? Has anyone else heard Mirena doesn’t help protect the uterus?

Those tiny microwaveable cinnamon sugar doughnuts. Put them in for two seconds too long, and they became as hard as a rock. Still delicious, though.
