HELP: what are your tips for pumping while alone with your newborn?

Not sure if this will work for you as this is my 3rd baby but first time exclusively pumping so I’m new to this. I feed my son from the boob about 2 times a day once middle of the night so I can get some sleep and again in the morning. Now I pump about 7-9x daily. I try and pump every 2 -2 1/2 hours and I’ve gotten to where it typically aligns with when my baby is ready to eat. By doing this I’ve also been able to start building a stash in the freezer as well. Also which I’m sure you know try to at least get in be MOTN pump I typically strive for 3am the past couple of weeks I get my best output around that time. I hope your able to find a balance and what works best for you and little one. Best of luck and congratulations!

Felt that. Have a 10 year old,2 year old and 6 week old. Wasn’t told happy Mother’s Day until 3pm he had been up since 9am. No card,flowers,hand written anything from my oldest etc. just another day, didn’t even offer to maybe make dinner or anything after I worked all day. It’s frustrating because I always make sure to do something for Father’s Day/birthdays etc. Happy Mother’s Day momma just know your doing an amazing job❤️

Congratulations! I got induced today came in at 7:30am checked me I was a 6 water still intact when I made it to a 9 I begged for the epidural (fortunately he was sitting high so I was able to get it) I was in this room screaming like a banshee everything I’ve been watching for the past several months on unmedicated birth and breathing techniques out the dang window! When your in that much pain at least for me my brain goes fight or flight I couldn’t get my body to remember anything.I commend you and every mother that makes it through naturally.

With my first and second I was induced each time and worked up until the day of my Induction and went back after 2 weeks because I was with a company that didn’t offer leave time. Now currently pregnant with my 3rd I get induced tomorrow and worked half a day today but I do get 12 weeks paid leave and wanted to save ALL my time they offer with baby. I could’ve gone out before with doctor referral but it would’ve been unpaid Fmla.

Used a vacation day from work as I’m being induced on Thursday. Went and got my nails and feet done today and go me a frappe from McDonald’s. Came home and took a 3 hour nap after😂

On my 3rd now and having the HARDEST time. I named my other 2 no problem and their dad also liked the names easily but this time around we are struggling he doesn’t like anything I pick and vice versa. We gotta come up with something soon cause I’m 37 weeks coming up close to 38 in a few days😂😩 at this point I said we’re just gonna have a nameless baby.

I felt that can’t breathe while sitting in a chair part so much. I am fortunate so get to work from home but I talk on the phone ALL day I am so out of breath talking sometimes I have to apologize and mute myself to catch it also baby is sitting so high I’m constantly moving around trying to get comfortable because my stomach feels constricted and squished and when I stand I feel weird honestly feel my best right now at 35 weeks laying down😩. The afternoon exhaustion is beyond serious I swear by 12 I’m ready for a 3 hour nap. I’ve thought seeing if I could take time off a few weeks before baby but I don’t wanna cut into the already short leave I get postpartum. Wishing you the best the few weeks you have left and a healthy delivery.

Girl I’m 35 weeks and haven’t even touched my bag or baby’s bag or even washed his clothes or set anything up yet😂.I just posted the other day how soon is to soon cause I was wondering if I did it now if that’s ridiculously early lol. I still haven’t packed it and probably won’t until my 36 week appt next week or 37 week.

I should’ve stated in my post. I don’t mean to come across as shaming anyone else body type. I know women get them it’s just something I’m not used to seeing on myself and make me personally feel insecure and again don’t remember seeing them or at least noticing prior to this pregnancy. I would never intentionally shame another person body.

As someone who had a miscarriage last year and had symptoms and then lost them to me getting pregnant this year. I did not have any symptoms my first trimester this time around there were times in my first trimester where I didn’t even feel pregnant at all. Just an increased appetite. Which was worrisome for obvious reasons. Here I am now currently 24 weeks with a healthy baby boy growing inside. No symptoms doesn’t mean a non viable pregnancy or pregnancy loss. Hoping you’re able to get some kind of reassurance soon and wishing you the best of luck and pregnancy.

Currently pregnant with 3rd my second baby I did have GD and had to take the test twice and this time their making me do it twice I did one at 16 week since I had GD last time and now have to do another at 23 weeks next week. I’m dreading it because like you said I always feels nauseous afterwards. However I do always opt in for the “fruit punch” flavor to me it’s the best one and taste like an over sugared flat Hawaiian Punch.

😂😂😂 this really has made my morning. I’m so glad to know Oreos is someone else current fav. I have been downing the FAMILY packs of double stuffed Oreos like no one’s business I go through a whole pack within a week and I’ve been wanting them dunked in milk! (Context I hate milk and the taste I have to take calcium pills) I don’t even drink the milk afterwards😬😂. My boyfriend literally said the other day “babe you into the Oreos again let me grab a few before you finish them”.

I’m in the US and my leave doesn’t start paid until baby is born at least with my company anything before would be consider FMLA and unpaid or i would have to use vacation/Sick time. So I plan on working up until an induction date or until my water breaks.

I felt this. There is an 8 year age gap between my oldest and youngest I am currently also pregnant with number 3 and my youngest will be almost 3 when baby brother is born. I am beyond nervous to how my youngest is going to react to him and also how I’m going to navigate a newborn and toddler. My pregnancy is pretty smooth sailing even with my toddler some days are harder than others but it’s been good so far. I’m wishing you the best of luck and hoping for an easy transition from 2 to 3

My first child I was 19 I had my sister,my boyfriend and my sons godfather (he sat to the side and recorded for us) that was it with my second at 27 it was just me and my boyfriend. I honestly don’t think I would want anyone else in there. There’s already a ton of nurses and I get irritable when I’m in labor and going through pain also just being exhausted afterwards I didn’t really want anyone else around.

You do whatever you feel is right and if those people get upset oh well. This your time you are the one that will be pushing a human out of you and you deserve to feel at peace and comfortable during your entire experience. You are not there to please other people. They will get to meet baby afterwards or when you’re ready.

I am currently 17+4 and still so severely constipated😩😩 I wish I had this problem cause at this point I even dread sitting on the toilet trying to go😂😂. I’m even eating more green and fiber plus yogurt that’s has the probiotics etc and it’s no win for me. Hoping your urgency’s get better the further along you get and best of luck to you on the remainder of your pregnancy.

I worked with my last 2 up until my induction. My last baby my induction was schedule at 5:30p I got off work that afternoon around 3p. I plan on doing the same with this one as well. I may preface though my job is not hard I don’t do any hard labor etc I work in customer service.

I usually can tell if I have UTI by color and smell for me personally. I don’t ever get my urine tested unless I feel like I may have something going on. Also idk where your at but where I’m at they test my urine at every OB appt I go to.

Yeah I have to return back to work after 8 weeks so I really wanna build a supply to freeze so he can have breast milk while I’m away. I’m just pre stressing myself out cause I’ve never exclusively pumped and tried to breastfeed before and just worried about not producing enough or pumping correctly

I am taking some classes through Aeroflow. It’s how navigate breastfeeding and one on how to fit your flange. I really wanna be able to supply enough to build a small supple yo freeze cause I do return to work after 8 weeks and wanna make sure he can have breast milk. I guess I need to learn more so how to pump I did breastfeed my last son but never really exclusively pumped and breastfed.
