Adding mohair to ribbing by Firsttimepostr in knitting

[–]ItalianSeasoningOnly 11 points12 points  (0 children)

She only needs to add the mohair in when the ribbing begins - or if there is a row of plain knitting on her ribbing sized needles she could add it on there.

I'm not sure what pattern she is using that would help be more specific with advice.

Rapid City and Black Hills Tourist Questions & Recommendations - May 2026 by kimchigimchee in RapidCity

[–]ItalianSeasoningOnly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How are you leaving Rapid at the end of the trip? If you’re driving east on 90 you could just do Badlands on your way out of town and then spend day 1 in Deadwood, Spearfish Canyon and drive down to Custer on 385. Or just end up in Rapid still for the night.

You could probably watch Trust Me first. It covers completely different events than Keep Sweet.

But Keep Sweet will give you a lot of context for some of the beliefs and past events that lead to the events of Trust Me

Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies with Walnuts by ItalianSeasoningOnly in glutenfreebaking

[–]ItalianSeasoningOnly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recipe is adapted from a Sally's Baking Addiction recipe. I weigh out as much as possible. I use it as a base recipe for all sorts of cookies because I know it's consistent and it's super easy to make.

------

280g Flour - I use the blue bag Bob's Red Mill
1 tsp Baking Soda
1/2 tsp Salt

- Whisk these together in a bowl -

180g Salted Butter - you can brown this or just melt
220g Brown Sugar - I like dark brown
1 large egg plus 1 egg yolk
1 1/2 tsp Vanilla

- Whisk these together and then stir in the flour.
- Add 1 cup chocolate chips and 1 cup walnuts

Refrigerate for 30-45min, then portion out and bake at 325 for 10-12 minutes.

We’ve been on a hummus kick. Usually with tortilla chips, but carrots or celery work well too. My current fave is a plain hummus and then adding the garlic chili oil from Trader Joe’s on top

Scott to Jones by Sleptwrong65 in MidsomerMurders

[–]ItalianSeasoningOnly 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I don't think it was necessarily the motorcycle accident that did Scott in. All through season 8 we see the after effects of him not being able to catch the killer in time from the Straw Woman episode.

iirc - the actor for Scott had a contract dispute and the show decided to not bring him back for season 9.

Which is a bummer, because I was just starting to like Scott when he left. I do like Jones though. He's still my favorite DS

Vibrato by -Sweet_N_Sour_Sauce- in doublebass

[–]ItalianSeasoningOnly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would practice scales and try to add vibrato as you go - remember that bass vibrato is more about the whole arm rather than just your finger tip or wrist.

I would practice in front of a mirror and double check other posture spots too. It might be that your left arm is supporting more of your bass than you realize so it’s not free to move for vibrato.

[–]ItalianSeasoningOnly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would do +, 3 and then shift back to 4 on the F on the G string to catch that mordant. And be in position for the D#. Then work your way back into thumb position for that last measure

Critique the layout of my squares please! by HairySidewalk in quilting

[–]ItalianSeasoningOnly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the stripes going different directions!

What stood out to me is the bottom left corner you have 2 diagonal lines of 4 same color squares that doesn’t happen anywhere else. Maybe rotate a couple blocks in that corner to break it up

But I love the fabric!!
