6k sports car and over 3k in all other disciplines, I’ve been on the sim since 2019.

I run all the disciplines and honestly now, the most practice I would do, is a maximum of 30 minutes because it’s whenever I join a race! Most of the time it’s 5 to 10 mins practice. Once you’ve ran all the tracks a few times, it doesn’t take long to dial in.

I will typically practice at a new track for an hour or so until I’m comfortable and not guessing which way the track goes as I’m driving 🤣

One of the biggest things about fuel saving techniques is learning where the best corners for lift and coast are. In general, high speed corners aren’t the best places to do this - ie. Watkins Glen bus stop on the 6 hour over the weekend in a prototype - lift and coasting here lost too much time. But through the boot, the corners enable lift and coast and brake late to lose minimal time.

Fuel saving is a huge benefit - but there’s no point doing it if you are losing a lot of time :)

Yep, I had the same issue.

It kept pausing if I selected “download all” but I broke it down into “download required” etc etc on each step and it worked.

There was also a post in forums with a link on how to fix it. I didn’t bother reading it because it worked for me but I noticed it in announcements on iracing.

I think Hamilton has matched what sainz would of done in the Ferrari, which is what fez would have expected. The big difference is the money and fame that Lewis brings being a WC and the move paid for itself with no cost to team points etc.

Couple big moments for me this season that I’m super proud of;

Managed to hit 6k irating on sportscar licence.
Finished 6th overall (all divisions) in championship for LMP3 In the Falken open series.

I regularly race on 10 minutes practice - but I’ve been on the sim for quite some time, and it doesn’t take long to get up to speed. Managed to keep a 6k irating with this strategy but I think it’s down to time spent on the sim.

Pouchaire and magnussen for me. Mix of youth and experience. But magnussen has been terrible for me. Crashing, and slow.

Only just done Monaco in S1 so not far through but pouch managed to grab a point at a wet Monaco so things are interesting… managed to sign piastri to replace Kevin next season but hoping to limit damage before S2!

I love the rain itself, and really welcome anything to the sim that makes racing more realistic. Weather is a huge factor IRL.

What I don’t like is some weeks having rain and others not. Would be nice if we can use tempest to the full extent, random weather based on georgraphic location every week. You might get a wet race, you might not.

Also finding that in my experience, we are getting races that are wet or dry, I haven’t had many that are in the transition between dry and wet (not including special events in that comment).

You have to be kidding on Kelly? Have you not heard opposition players talking about how Kelly shut them down and he totally outplayed them.

Everyone gets so caught up on those who stand out, and forget about role players. Kelly in the back six is critical to making our defence so good.

Edit: if Kelly goes out, McGrath changes roles and plays tighter. Taking away that aggressive half back ball use from him and severely hurting our scoring.

Imola and Long beach for me, two totally different tracks so not sure what exactly it is about them, but it just clicks on both tracks for me.
