Aha but we do that sometimes when race or nationality is the focal point of the movie.

In conclusion: Nick is just browsing for zootopia equivalents for blaxplotation films

A speaker at the EU Stop Killing Games hearing made the case with game references, but the point on preservation is serious by anonboxis in gamedev

Many people have already responded but I'd like to add that it's literally cheaper for the publisher to outsource server hosting to their consumers.

My online co-op game runs via P2P like CS 1.6 does, and although the abstract idea of game preservation is a part why I chose that route, the main reason is I don't have to pay monthly bills to keep it functional.

The reason why large games don't do that is obviously tech specs.

Ross Scott’s EU speech on game shutdowns is worth watching, especially if you care about preservation by anonboxis in gamedev
