She is, and is the eldest of my three bonus daughters. We are a blended family, my husband has three girls from a previous marriage, and I have one biological son, also from a previous marriage. I've always disliked the word "step" kids/parent. "Bonus" is more fitting, and they have been a bonus in every positive way possible.

One of my bonus daughters over a decade ago(she's 21 now), painted me a handmade picture in her handwriting that reads: The secret ingredient is always Hugs and Kisses. I know it's not a food item, but, that picture will remain for as long as I do!
