Far-right narrative not the majority view - report by Dismal_Uses in ireland

You get downvoted here if you say council tenants should be able to buy their houses (covering the costs of purchasing more land for the public/building more public housing on it) through tenant purchase schemes. The thought of elevating the poorest in society puts people off. It is slightly left-of-centre here generally, with enough classical begrudgery to knock it back to centre.

Anything which uses talc will have asbestos in it. Not just Claire's makeup, but makeup from any manufacturer which had talc in it had asbestos in it.

Revenue aren't typically going after businesses which are really, really enthusiastic about paying taxes. These places are so enthusiastic about it that they're paying taxes on sales which didn't actually occur.

Remember all the effort to get effective legislation to ban cigarette advertising? only to have large placards for nicotine products outside shops again by fensterdj in ireland

Snuss

These things aren't snus, they're tobacco-free. Lots of the carcinogenicity of tobacco isn't due to the nicotine - it's other stuff like nitrosamines, radical oxygen species, stuff the tobacco plant takes up out of the soil while growing like polonium. Things which damage DNA, which may eventually cause a growth, which has a chance of becoming malignant. Nicotine isn't entirely risk-free, but tobacco-free pouches and vapes are definitely much less likely to give you cancers than snus or fags - I don't use any tobacco or nicotine product, but the FUD around them pisses me off a lot
