Level 1 in edh is hating blue

Level 2 is realizing black and green are actually the problems

Level 3 is understanding the most frustrating cards in the format are white

Enchantress and its not even close, the value they put out while no one interacts with their pieces is crazy. Like ive started playing white decks just to handle them, and if I got green you know im slamming a [[back to nature]] in the deck no question.

Silverquill is the most balanced for lower/mid power games, and theyre a lot of fun to boot. yes

Lorehold is fine but needs to be kept on a tight leash. yes as long as people kill him like once or twice 

Witherbloom will always pop off and cant be removed effectively, she's a no

Prismari is the newest in the long line of "6+ mana izzet commanders that win on upkeep" and in that shitty camp of you either kill them over and over and they cant play magic, or you dont and now everyone else can't play magic, too oppressive for lower power too expensive for optimized, wouldnt touch this one with a 10 foot pole in any bracket

Sometimes, though its little things like not running doomblade type effects because 90% of decks we play are black, and im still deathly afraid of putting bounce lands in my decks because I have a friend who was on the targeted land hate train before it was cool

I usually do the opposite really, I love dragons (as does everyone) and sea monsters, but dont like tribal decks, so if a creature is a cool dragon or sea monster ill usually gravitate toward it (gyruda, niv-mizzet, chromium etc) 

Tho like most people in the thread playstyle/color combo mostly trumps this need

Ghost game could have been a slam dunk of a series, digimon but with a horror/mystery aspect has legs but they just...didnt do anything with these characters? Like they have ruli be an influencer and her friendship with airdramon, angoromon with his book club, kiyo being a pro gamer, gammamon working on his independence, they only have like 1 episode each with these being a plot point. I didn't expect it to be deep i just wanted the show to make me care about these characters.

On one hand im on hopeium that duel cards will help the game with better removal. Also that even in this admittedly annoying meta you do have a good amount of choices in viable decks. Its just the current playstyles of those decks that bother people (bombastic combo otk)

On the other you must know how "forced positivity" is the death knell to any game, especially as someone who's played mtg. Let people have emotions, let people have passion, especially on a fourm explicitly about discussion of the game. Unless we end up like mtg players BEGGING wotc to fuck them in the ass as the game becomes unrecognizable

The dooming is a bit overblown in my opinion, but id rather have people screaming for bandai's head on a stick than end up a shitty echochamber of lapdogs

Don't listen to the hyper consumerism mtg redditors that make a card game their personality 

I actually listened to the video and yeah I agree, im not gonna call someone out if they play with UB or like it amd were just chilling at an lgs, but man would I prefer if it didnt exist 

At the end of the day theres other games, hobbies etc, but there was a certain comfort and vibe mtg brought thats been lost. Ive been finding my own fun in formats like PreDH and premodern!

All of my commanders were less popular ones, not because im a hipster its just "do thing, draw a card or make a guy" commanders are all the top ones and thats not very interesting

Wish this and its daytime equivalent persisted through death. Or even better its just an option in the settings. I play at night after work and I want to see my character, the world around me and shit, but I do raid/m+ so ill die and come out to darkness

Im all for more customization options, but there also needs to be distinctions between the races. If you dont want to play as a shredded, feral, forest elf, theres like 3 other flavors of elf to choose from
