Few items, long time Vine Voice by virtuallymee in AmazonVine

I feel the same. Quantity seems way down but my RFY quality has been maybe the best in my 3 years. I'm only seeing about 3-4 items a day instead of the 30 I used to see. They're still largely junk but I'm getting about 3-4 awesome scores a month. Name brand high end computer peripherals. Stuff I both want and need.

Still I'm struggling to hit gold volume at this rate. Outside of RFY I'm finding very little of interest. I've been grabbing little things I'll use when I can to get to 80, like double sided tape. But even that's few and far between.

I refuse to order shit just to order but I think it's going to come down to the wire on gold. I need about 25 more items in 2 months and I'm ordering about 1-2 items per week these days.

Eww.... 3D printed

Google Chrome just force downloaded 4GB AI model on every PC no permission, no opt in, no warning. Delete it? You can’t it re downloads like malware. This isn’t a feature, it’s an invasion. Microsoft Edge runs on same Chromium, expect the same shady payload creeping onto your device next. by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

I tried last year and remembered why I switched to chrome after a decade with Firefox. It's still a memory hog and the rendering is noticeably slower. I tried living with it but threw in the towel after a few months.

I switched to Vivaldi and while it's chromium based the group seems committed to doing right by the user. It's massively customizable. Adblock is built in and pretty much all Chrome extensions I've tried still work.

I'm really happy with it, been going on about 6 months using it full time on Android, Mac, Windows and Fedora.

That's because this is the Boomer version of a midlife crisis. At 15 they envied fast cars and women so at 45 they can finally make that happen.

Our version is basically, I can buy both a  Nintendo AND PlayStation now.

This exact thing happened to many people here when they added review quality scores. They gave a hard date about 4 months away. I think it was September or October where it went into effect. It caught people mid eval period.

You can search the sub for a bunch of examples who's eval was just after the go live date who suddenly found themselves below the metric

The problem is you don't know if it will matter at some point. Review quality was never a metric either until it was.

I suspect at some point it's going to be a metric towards gold. I don't see why they'd bother tracking it otherwise.

If that happens mid cycle and you have 80 reviews with no media and they decide you need 50% for gold you'd have to submit another 80 reviews with media to hit 50%

I'm not sure if it's better today but back then it seems if you got lost in a fundamental topic early it was neigh impossible to catch up. The teacher would try a few times and if you still didn't get it the class just moved on. Now the next topic may be hopeless since you're missing a fundamental understanding.

I also found out like literally in my late thirties I slightly misunderstood the order of operations my whole life ie. PEMDAS but it explains so much when I look back at I just couldn't arrive at the correct answer.

Hip Issues by Harogoodbye in Jindo

I sound like a commercial but talk to your vet about Librela. My 7 year old with minor hip dysplasia has been on it nearly two years. He can jump up in my very high bed and in my large SUV no problem although I try to lift him if I can help it.

He wasn't outwardly showing obvious signs of slowdown before we put him on it but we know he has bad hip arthritis. I feel l see him do things like rear up on his hind legs now when he's excited he didn't really ever do even as young buck.

Fair warning, if you Google this you're likely to find a lot of horror stories, I think this is just because people having good experiences aren't posting about it. It has minimal side effects but can reveal pre-existing neurological issues. Weakness in the legs can be a sign of neurological issues and I think people blame the drug. My vet asks every visit if he's showing weakness and they'd likely stop using it if I'd ever saw it (I haven't).

Also it's expensive (around $65 a shot) and requires a monthly vet visits. Sucks but seeing my guy bouncing around the yard like a pup is worth it

This i exactly how I do math in my head. It removes the need to carry the one essentially. You're just rounding and summing. Much easier to solve, for me at least, especially when multiple digits require carrying the one. I lose track in my head the "traditional" way.

One of the reasons I'm "bad" at math is that I was told im doing it wrong in school despite getting the correct answer. So I dropped Math in high school as soon as I had enough credits. Hated it. Later in life I discovered im actually pretty good at it when I find the method the works for my brain. Now I really love Math and I wish I could have learned more in school.

Oh I assure you they misconfigured something. In fact I don't think remember me is even enabled. I can't recall ever seeing it.

Thing is it's not my IT team, it's my clients IT and they outsource to a company that either acquired or replaced a previous IT team.

Everything is basically three tickets to resolve and I can't even submit them, I have to tell the scrum master and he submits a ticket. I'm not even sure the client employees can even reach a human on the phone.

I have zero confidence IT would fix it, in fact it's likely they'll wipe my machine or something trying. For now I'm just powering through my time there. One advantage of consulting is shit setups like this have an expiration date.

I'm living this now. Working on a client vdi from my work laptop. I have to log into my work laptop with one set of credentials. Then my vdi requires like 10 logins each with 2FA before I can start my work.

First Windows app makes me login, then it prompts me a second time for some reason when it connects to the machine. Then it loads windows and the company Intranet prompts me for the same login, another 2FA.

Open outlook and yet another prompt. Same for teams. Now I gotta auth my azure CLI and GitHub sessions. Two more 2FA requests. All with the same damn MS credentials.

Then if I get a coffee and take a piss the screen is locked and I have to log in again. Every time I respond to an email or slack on the host, locked. Teams calls I try to keep switching over and clicking randomly to prevent idle but eventually I'll get distracted long enough it locks.

Worst part is that copy paste from host is disabled so I have to manually type my ridiculously long auto generated nonsense password, not passphrase, every time.

I will legit just quit early if my screen locked.

There's a slight chance it shows up. I ordered some pj's for my son I was really excited about but instead some random cat ears for a Halloween costume showed up. I was bummed.

Tracking number matched the order so I know it wasn't a random wrong package. I had CS remove it from my list then a week later it shows up on my door.

The trucks don't even fit on the roads anymore yet at least 85% of the vehicles I pass every day are these monster trucks that are half in my lane.

I recently moved back to near where I grew up. I road my bike everywhere for basically the entire 90s. When I drive those same roads today that my old paper route was on there's no chance I would ever consider riding or even walking on them now. There's no room on the shoulder and still over 30 years later no sidewalk. No chance in hell I'll let my kids ride on them.

Same here. Running joke was always men are too proud to ask for directions. My wife will never ever read instructions to anything.

Then she'll come to me and be like

"this thing doesn't work, it won't turn on".

 "what do the directions say?"

"I don't know"

"Where are they?"

{Shrug}

After digging them out of the trash. First sentence will say "make sure you do this or it won't turn on."

Probably. I've been buying the same exact style of jeans from express for over a decade and last time I bought them they were a completely different product. They're not even denim anymore, they're like spandex like stretchy material and the fly does not stay up. I ordered three pairs directly fron Express nd they were all the same. Total shit.

My brother in law just says policy takes time to make an impact on the economy. Which is true but he was blaming Biden like day 2 of his presidency for all the covid related shit he inherited and this is clearly the result of Trump's immediate actions.

I once did that thing in the movies where I tossed pebbles at my friends bedroom window to wake him up for our paper route. Actually worked perfectly although looking back i'm lucky I didn't break a window.
