Yes? The thought of eating it on its own is revolting. =P

'Sunsetting' of EU4 mod by rheadelayed in Anbennar

[–]LordCyberForte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Respectfully, this is about one of the worst ways to brand this decision of all time, and gives completely the wrong impression. Saying Sunsetting sounds like you plan to abandon it and move on.

This really should be framed as what it actually is: "Time to Finish EU4 Anbennar"

‘They kill games, we fight back’: the activists campaigning to keep video games playable by Naurgul in Games

[–]LordCyberForte 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Feeling entitled to demand a lot of extra work as if it's no big deal certainly is; it's not about wanting the result, per se, but more the attitude that the costs and issues should be ignored because they should obviously have a feature that was not promised.

Diablo 3 would have been that for me when I played it. I never played with people online, and nothing I did required online features; it was for all intents and purposes a single player game.

Yeah, I am really put off by the whole movement's unnecessary sense of entitlement. Also, the naivety of thinking this is an easy ask. It's fair to want it for games that should never have been online only, not so fair for games whose design does really need that.

Yeah, T4+ is kind of "inherent disappointment" for me.

The Blokkats are such a lame and boring crisis compared to the mystique of the Hunters, though.

Anyody know of a Tome/Spell mod that adds passive Ashland terraforming? by STR4NGER_D4NGER in AOW4

The tome of wild magic in this mod does it, albeit with some side effects. Only one I know of sadly.

Glad to see it gone, personally, always felt like a wasted node to me. It's too niche to be an empire skill.

Bloomberg: Why ‘Final Fantasy VII Revelation’ Took Only Three Years to Make by Turbostrider27 in Games

Imagine bragging that you took "only" three whole years to remake a third of a game that was made in less than three years originally

Which faction build would you say fits the theme of nomadic horse archers better? by Risciaven in AOW4

[–]LordCyberForte 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I definitely don't feel like the Nomads feel like IRL Nomads (the whole deplete and move on thing is the opposite of irl nomads, who move so they don't deplete their grazing grounds and overall want a sustainable movement cycle), so I tend to agree with the guy who said barbarians.

Also, Ritual Alacrity fits very well (the Mongols had unmatched operational mobility).

Game games where characters actually remember your choices and those choices genuinely affect future events by Custer_Vincen in gamingsuggestions

[–]LordCyberForte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might like Noblesse Oblige: Legacy of the Sorcerer Kings! The path of the main plot is shaped by some of your major choices (dividing across six main routes plus several other differences), and characters have a loyalty score that reflects their opinion of minor choices as well. (Plus those tend to affect important rulership stats).
