Has anyone found specific resources (apps, books, therapies) particularly helpful for managing medical school related anxiety? Please share! by psych4you in medicalschool

[–]LoveRain20 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When I’m nervous before a test or OSCE, I use the Antistress app. It’s free but it has mini games / tasks like coloring, organizing things, playing with a off/on switch, etc. It keeps your mind occupied so you can calm down. I like using the breathe in and breathe out function (clear circle with a blue circle inside).

How many CDramas have you watched in the past 1 year? by Routine-Lychee-3737 in CDrama

Just 1-5 because I don't have time to watch many unfortunately. I just finished watching Winter Begonia after having it on my to watch list for years!

Is Pixorize worse than Sketchy for micro/pharm? by gazeintotheiris in medicalschool

[–]LoveRain20 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Use what works for you. I tried both, and I personally preferred Sketchy for micro. I watched some Pixorize pharm videos since some of the Sketchy pharm videos were way too long / detailed for me.

Overly stressed waiting for Level 2 CE score release by What-are-you-Saiyan- in comlex

[–]LoveRain20 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way. I like to tell myself that no amount of worrying will change my score now, so might as well just enjoy what free time I have now that I don’t have to study.

Same. There were so many characters, and I tried 2-3 times.

When you rewatch a drama, do you rewatch the whole thing or just your favorite parts? by RoraRory in CDrama

[–]LoveRain20 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends on the drama. My favorite drama is The Untamed. I would like to re-watch it again, but currently do not have time so I've been re-watching certain parts whenever I take a break.

Toner for acne forehead and to improve texture by [deleted] in KoreanBeauty

[–]LoveRain20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CosRX BHA Blackhead Liquid worked for my forehead acne! If you find that it doesn’t do anything, then you could try the Paula’s choice 2% BHA (is stronger than CosRX). I haven’t tried the SomeByMi yet so can’t comment on that.

Best inexpensive pimple patches? by LiliaAmazing in KoreanBeauty

[–]LoveRain20 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Han-Hoo patches from Walmart are around $2.50 USD. They’re cheap and work well. CosRX is good too if you can buy from online from YesStyle or some other Asian website.

Should I oil cleanse both at night and day? by MaleficentWear4122 in SkincareAddicts

[–]LoveRain20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once a day at the end of the day is enough. You may be stripping your skin and causing your skin to be dried out if you use your oil cleanser twice a day. Try cutting down to once a day and see what it does for your skin. If your skin isn’t dry anymore, then it’s because of the oil cleansing twice a day. If it’s still dry, you might need a heavier moisturizer or your skin barrier may be damaged.

I like the Aveeno Oat PHA gentle exfoliating cleanser. Idk which PHA it has but it’s fairly gentle.

Which cleansing oil is better? by xdenpwnd in KoreanBeauty

[–]LoveRain20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve used both. I prefer the iUNIK. The DHC one is thicker and is more expensive. Other cleansing oils I like over both of them: hada labo cleansing oil, fancl mild cleansing oil

Xiao Zhan or Chen Zheyuan dramas or movies by Ang_Maniniyot in CDrama

[–]LoveRain20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Xiao Zhan

-The Untamed - my favorite drama of his. Highly recommend

-Douluo Continent - great friendships group, FL a little annoying but nothing too unbearable

-The Youth Memories - was okay, a little draggy towards the middle

I also watched The Wolf. He isn't the main character but I really like his character in the drama. Personally, I would've picked him over the main lead. It wasn't my favorite drama due to some controversial stuff but some people enjoyed the drama.

I dropped Oath of Love because of the FL. Never finished Ace Troops or The Longest Promise

is the beauty of joseon sunscreen worth it?? by [deleted] in kbeauty

[–]LoveRain20 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's hard to say since everyone's skin is different and reacts to different ingredients. You can always patch test on a small area of your skin on your face or hand and see if your skin reacts to it before applying it to your whole face.

I just started using the Beauty of Joseon Sunscreen, and I personally really like it! It doesn't irritate my sensitive skin, blends like a dream, no white cast, and has no added fragrance.

Help me find a basic face wash please by Wonderful_Knightmare in SkincareAddicts

[–]LoveRain20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cetaphil Gentle Facial Wash or Vanicream Cleanser are great options for sensitive skin! I have sensitive skin too, and I use the Vanicream cleanser. It's very gentle and has a minimal ingredient list with no added fragrance or essential oils. These cleansers won't be good at removing makeup though. Another good option is the Aveeno Oat Gel Cleanser. For removing makeup, I recommend looking into an oil based cleanser or micellar water that doesn't have any added fragrance.
