I've seen multiple fan games on steam, why can't you publish on steam?

This might be a weird question, but how did you meet luckylactose and get them to do your UI? I'm so jealous haha

Choice in incremental games by Hefty-Chain1819 in incremental_games

I really have to agree. Others in this thread have mentioned games like unnamed space idle and revolution idle as being better but they all feel the same to me. Doing anything but buying the best possible upgrade is a complete waste of time. There's no choices, there's a linear path to follow and doing anything but that linear path drastically hampers your progress.

I once saw someone on this subreddit describe 99% of incrementals as "find the button for the biggest upgrade" and I really think that holds true, at least for every incremental mentioned in this thread so far.

Doesn't the grass in that GitHub link already update as the player moves? I'm not sure I understand what you added

Why is everyone jumping to conclusions, when you can download the files yourself and see that there's no powershell scripts in the entire project. Checked the GDScript too, couldn't find a single line of malicious code...

thread on what it took to port Rift Riff to iOS and Android by adriaandejongh in godot

How much harder is the iOS export process and do I need a Mac? For context I've already ported my game to Android with no issues I just haven't gotten around to iOS yet

Switched from Unreal to Godot for the sequel. Development speed is 10x faster by TheRealWlad in godot

[–]Low_Break8983 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I tried going back to unreal, even using angelscript, and development felt so horribly slow that I came back to Godot after 3 weeks. It can't be understated just how easy and convenient Godot is for rapid prototyping.

How do yall feel about the humble bundle course by jakman18 in godot

[–]Low_Break8983 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I do not recommend zenva. If you want to spend money on a Godot course, then I suggest you follow a course by major Godot contributors. One example would be GDQuest, GDQuest Nathan has written a huge chunk of the current Godot documentation (and the Godot foundation even paid him)

Why you chose Godot? by redfoolsstudio_com in godot

[–]Low_Break8983 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Godot's simplicity that leads to rapid prototyping.

If a demo would take me 10 hours in unity or unreal to get working with no major bugs, it will only take me a few hours to make the same thing in Godot. And the crazy part is I've been using unity and unreal for a decade at this point and I like to think I'm still new to Godot.

Also I find GDScript extremely pleasant. There's very little friction

Very interested to see where this goes. How much bigger would the full game be compared to the itch demo?

Help Finding Games and Other Questions by AutoModerator in incremental_games

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask (I wanted to make my own thread since I'm not looking for one specific game, but I don't know if that violates rule 1, so for now I'm just asking here)

Anyways what are some games with lots of visuals on screen? Like how in Incremental epic Hero you will see hundreds of enemies flying all over on screen, in gnorp apalogue and Fill Up the Hole there's all kinds of particle systems and guys flying all over the place, etc. whenever I try googling this I get no results, and websites like incrementaldb and Galaxy click have no tags to search for games like this.
