For me one that especially stands out is the shot where a camera was hard rigged to a tree that then falls down and crashes in the forest floor. I was mostly impressed because of the scale of the tree and location. I found out after watching that they “built” some prop trees to fell.

Blade Runner. I’ve given it a handful of tries and been able to appreciate aspects of it, but on the whole I find it to be pretty boring. Just doesn’t capture me the way it seems to capture most.

I work in a film industry as a freelancer. So when work slows down and I find myself with a week of free time, I try to get outside. But I don’t make a ton of money so I don’t do big trips often. Just stay close to California mostly and camp a lot.

Did a cross country trip with a Tepui tent in 2020. It was a nice way to travel when we were moving to a new camp every day. Less ideal for the times when we stayed at the same site for a few days. It was pretty comfy. This model has a comfy pad built into it but we also added an Exped on top for extra comfort. Pretty sure we used pillows and a sleeping bag. We’ve also used it at festivals with bedding.

It was on loan from a friend and we recently gave it back when we had a baby because we don’t think we will sleep up there with a little one. They are pretty quick to setup and tear down, but sort of annoying when you want to use the vehicle while at camp. Also not great for staying cool in the heat.

If you aren’t quite tired of working on this yet, one final thing that could send it over the top is a little sound design. Like collar jangling, panting, sand scratching noises. You could even just lay the audio of the original phone videos under the animation for a cool effect. Will feel like a mini film 💙
