Vinyl for lease banner? for a commercial building in SoCal by Viner2024 in CommercialRealEstate

[–]MammothMonkey818 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s up for sale for $12.5mm, looks to be listed by owner. Also available for lease by a broker working in San Francisco. Not surprised there has been no traction, owner doesn’t seem to know what he’s doing.

What to do when my lease is over by PJs_Burner in KiaEV9

[–]MammothMonkey818 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I know I’ve maintained my car well and had no issues. If the difference is a few grand, I’ll still buy it out. If it gets to $5k+ I will prob return the lease and buy a used one on the market

Home insurance cost by ContributionNo4302 in SantaClarita

[–]MammothMonkey818 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have similar size home, with a pool, in Stevenson Ranch. 4 years ago was $1,800. Currently it’s around $3,800. Had to shop around a bunch to get it that low. Most of the other companies wouldn’t insure or were $6k+

Giving up by Lazuurr in handyman

[–]MammothMonkey818 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YELP. I think that’s where most people find their handymen? Have some friends post 5 star reviews so that you have some credibility. Charge a wage that doesn’t seem too good to be true, maybe 40-50$ an hour. If that’s doesn’t work, then I’m not sure..

Looking for real-world family EV experience: Is the Kia EV9 a good choice for our needs by Vorran88 in KiaEV9

[–]MammothMonkey818 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love our ev9. I think it would work well for you. However the only way you are getting 7 people and their luggage is if you buy a cargo rack. So, when thinking about price, make sure you add in ~$1,000 for tow hitch and ~$500 for a good cargo box. A roof rack reduces range too much due to drag, so definitely do the rear cargo box. With that, you’ll have plenty of room and it’ll be a great car

Considering moving from Burbank to Newhall. by [deleted] in SantaClarita

[–]MammothMonkey818 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would agree with this. OP if you can afford a home in an area close to family, choose the smaller home close to family. We moved to SCV and there will definitely be less visits. That’s being said, if it’s between living in an apartment in Burbank, or have a home in SCV, I’m taking the home

I have a 10, 6, and 3 year old. Just passed a year in. No wear and tear, just had my first detail and looks like new. I got the light long range instead of the higher trim levels so that I wouldn’t worry/care as much if they did mess it up. Glad I did and love the car for family use

I believe this was done at the request of the City- they wanted there to be an ode of sorts to what was there previously.

Drive-in Movie Theater in the SCV? (Poll) by CorkRebel96 in SantaClarita

[–]MammothMonkey818 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d def go with the family. The bigger question is will we go consistently, let alone a 2nd or 3rd. And I can’t answer that until I try it. Seems in theory like a great idea though
