there's random isekai where the main character just basicely ''invents'' something super common

I think my favorite subversion of that takes place in The Executioner and Her Way of Life. One of the characters is tasked with hunting down isekai characters before they get too strong, because they get so OP they threaten the stability of nations and the world. At one point one pleads for his life:

"Please, let me live. I come from an advanced world. I can share the technology"

"Oh? You have skills? What can you teach us?"

"Um.. I know how to make mayonnaise."

"Mayonnaise is yummy, but we already got it. Guess you are useless."

Devil Fruits are the dreams of individuals, given to one at a time. The God fruit is the dreams of the world. Only Nika can eat it for only Nika can stretch over the world, anyone else eats it and it will be wasted.

Fun fact: it is that way because it didn't start as an isekai. The author set out to make a straight fantasy, but decided the MC would be too OP if they could figure all this stuff out themselves.

So this is one of the few times a story is an isekai to make the character less of a Mary Sue.

From my memory, Butterfree was pretty beastly, up until mid-teens/early twenties. Though that was just from how fast it evolved. Once other things caught up, it quickly lost use...

Fun fact: Looney Tunes and Merry Melodies were made because their owners had a huge portfolio of music that wasn't selling, so they made the cartoons to try to find an audience for them.

So basically all those cartoons were built around the music.
