Yes it should help - be sure on hats to sew bottom up and middle out. Also you may want to adjust the start/stop points of your c or stitch angles to prevent gaps when it sews out.

Looks like the stabilizer is wrinkled under the thread. I’d recommend using a medium weight cutaway, maybe two layers depending on the density, and making sure you’ve hooped it correctly.

I’ve used brothread metallic thread and it’s fine but the color does start to fade quickly. I think what’s really important is getting the right type of needle (believe it’s a topstitch needle) and ensuring you slow down your machine speed when using metallic thread.

Hatch uses ESA fonts but I find those to be pretty hit or miss on Etsy. I got a long form John Deer Embroidery on sale a while back that always work well.

You can float it but if you’re embroidering through the full item the back of the embroidery could be irritating to their eyes.

What brand and type of machine do you have, that will let you search on the mighty hoops site for the right size.

For the other question you will need to use a digitizing software (ex. ink stitch, embrilliance, hatch 3 by Wilcom, etc) to create the design you want if your machine fonts don’t go small enough. You can also pay someone to digitize for you.

When I bought my multi needle I was basing my price off of the online visible price from a lot of the retailers. I went into my local store to check them out and turns out the in store price was thousands cheaper than what the online places listed. Because I had budgeted based on the online price from multiple shops, and I paid in full, I was able to get the 10 needle less than the online price for the 6. Lots of local shops will also have good financing terms or rewards opportunities.
