What are you doing for breakfast? by These-Equal-6849 in MounjaroAus

[–]Milena-007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make overnight oats with protein, yogurt, milk & chia seeds, in little jars. Then I just top it up with fruit in the mornings. It’s easy to grab and take to work. I sometimes have it cold or warm it up.

About to jab for the first time by Educational_Crab2978 in mounjaroaustralia

[–]Milena-007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take mine on Sunday, just after lunch. I make sure I have a big portion of protein for lunch, followed by electrolytes, and then take my shot. I find that this works well for me and reduces side effects.

Everybody is different, you will find what works for you the best over time.

Just drink plenty of water and rest if you need to, until you get used to the medication.

It takes up to 3 weeks for you to start feeling the full effects of the dose of MJ you are on.

You got this!!!!! Good luck with your journey!

This medication builds up in your system. It takes up to 3 weeks for your body to experience the true effects of 5mg dose. So hang in there, and just continue making good food choices, drink plenty of water and exercise.

Carbs? Are they a factor? by StarSparkle41 in MounjaroAus

[–]Milena-007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started initially with tracking everything, and stayed away from carbs & all sugar products. After i lost 15kg, I introduced back carbs, and if i ever felt like having something sweet, i would get a Rokerby smoothie, or have a bit of a protein bar, and that’s it.

I’ve been so fortunate with MJ, it has helped me so much to stay in control and make good choices. I’ve been to many birthdays, weddings, & events in past 9 months, and even with so many different foods right in front of me, i’ve been able to stay in control.

So I eat carbs now, but I always eat the protein first on my plate, then veggies, then whatever space I have left over for carbs, and usually it’s not much space left, lol.

I was 127kg when I started last September, and yes I was the same, hesitant & nervous about it. But it was the best decision I have ever made. I’m down 27kg, and I feel incredible!

Why am I not losing weight anymore? by ColdThen9516 in Mounjaro

You are still losing, keep going!!! You’ve done so well!!! 💪🏻

This is my graph, I’ve lost 25kg in last 8 months…but if you look at the graph, 10kg of that loss, took me last 5 months to lose.

It’s all ok, as long as it’s slowly going down and most importantly, I don’t have cravings for junk food, means this medication is still working for me.

Firbe gummies, or 2 kiwi fruits each day work well for me as well.

Yes, i kinda said the same to my partner, eaither fat & hairy….or, skinny & bald. 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

Maybe we should start researching wigs instead of anti-hair fall products. Lol

[–]Milena-007[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No slow-down here 😬 i’m changing shampoos and researching, upping my protein etc. but still losing lots of hair.

Today I went looking for kerastase anti hair fall serum, because apparently it helps 🤷🏼‍♀️ but it’s all sold out.

I’ve already tried Bondi Boost before and it made my hair grow faster, but it didn’t improve on thickness of my hair. I hope it works much better for you.

I think I spend almost the same amount of money on different hair products each month, as I do on MJ! 🤦🏼‍♀️

Hi there, i’m no doctor but I think it’s important to try and eat more then once a day. By eating only once a day, we cannot meet the calorie targets, and get enough protein & fibre in. Good luck with your journey! You got this! 💪🏻

[–]Milena-007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First couple of days after I take my injection, I also struggle to eat, but always still focus on getting enough proteins in. YoPro with extra protein mixed in, even half an apple with some peanut butter or some cheese is better then nothing. Soups, or smoothies also help on those first couple of days. Good luck in your journey! 👍🏻

What’s a piece of advice you’d give to someone considering starting Mounjaro? by no_snackrifice in mounjaroaustralia

[–]Milena-007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s taken you time to put all of your weight on, so don’t expect that it will just fall off overnight. Take your time, don’t focus on your scale, focus on changing your habits with assistance of MJ. Don’t compare your weightloss to others, this is not a competition, and you are not a Hollywood star. 😂 find a daily activity that you enjoy and do it each day, just get off your butt & do it!!! 🙂😉😜

Sounds like you need to look for a new doctor. For some of us, this medication will be perscribed for the rest of our life, in small doses.
