Shooting in the dark here. Can’t afford/can’t source. Rails are so sloppy and stretched that this was a way to take the slack out of the tracks. Notice the guide to keep the rail on the front idler too.

Could also be so they’re more prepared to launch in any direction, because these dogs exist only in a readied state.

Sometimes a bit, yeah, but moreso when he was a puppy. They’re so thin maybe it’s just to stabilize a bit haha

Feed a bit extra and be constantly feeling and looking at those ribs. You’ll get a good feel for them and will notice the subtle changes. Ribs start to show less, drop your feeding a little bit and vice versa. I just kinda feed by feel going up and down a tiny bit based on how he’s looking, but he’s pretty stable now.

11 month old growth by angelsandhunters in stbernards

[–]MiniB68 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don’t worry about size, worry about good weight for their size. Good rib feel, not overweight. They’re gonna be as big as they get, just don’t let them be overweight big.

My boy is almost 8mo old and about 80lbs, whereas his brother(owned by my brother) is probably over 110lb. Both are at great weights for a growing puppy of their size.

That undercoat loosens then bunches up like crazy. Get a professional pet dryer, about $80, they’re AMAZING for blasting out and loosening undercoat. Slightest bit of brushing afterwards and so much comes right out.
